I have a thing I can actually drink, gonna sugar the FUCK out the drink that I can't, and gonna make it a writing day.

I haven't done shit in so long. I miss writing. So. I am going to try to force some progress via alcohol.

Wild substitutions that technically function, but can have weird effects. (Heavy Cream and Water instead of Milk? Fine 90% of the time, but when it goes wrong, it goes WRONG.)

Spells all cast/fire with a kitchen timer noise. The specific noise varies based on the user.

Famous Casters/Royal Mages could be the equivalent of Pastry Chefs.

Experts that are so talented with their tried and true methods of cooking, they're able to cast as quickly as blinking.

Magic types that have different scents/tastes (Fire tasting spicy/making eyes water, Plant/Nature smelling like fruit and bread, Ice tasting sweet but stifling other smells- And so on)

Recipes that require intense specifaction causing very focused effects (Again, Pastries), while easier "You legit can't fuck this up" type recipes are less controlled/powerful, but much faster and less taxing.

Prepackaged spells/magic like irl cake mixes. "Just add water, and presto! Instant Regeneration!"

Not specifically a magic thing, but instead a world building

Almost everyone cooks. Its the best way to practice casting.

Families typically have a book of recipes/spells that gets passed down through generations.

Maybe there could be a kind of Palate Cleanser type spell? Like brushing your teeth/taking a mint/smelling coffee(iirc) to weaken/stop a cast spell. (Like: Character gets afflicted by curse, but thankfully they have Anti Magic Gum, and the curse is dismissed!)

I didn't know that chickens wagged their tails- Like, I've seen the girls do it before, but never really thought that it was a conscious thing or wondered about why, y'know?

Well, Gertrude (Pictured above) has been doing it a lot lately! When I bring food or snacks, or if I chase off the bigger girls (Ember's a bully TT), she'll give a little wag.
