The first time being vocal about this on social media ever!
I would only talk about this verbally to people I talk to when it comes to talking about movies.
Thinking about this for awhile, but I’m probably not the only one thinking about it. Usually about a couple times a week.
With streaming, there are conveniences with it being in the palm of our hands. There are content and films that are exclusively ONLY on a streaming platform. Also, we, as a subscriber, are paying to license it, so it could go away at any time. It can be from not paying for it no more or the licensing rights for it to be on the said platform(s) expired.
Physical media, on the other hand, will never go away if owned physically at your homes. Sure to some, it could be a space taker in terms of where it’s stored and taken care of. To others, it’s a collection some have to always revisit whenever they please. At least, it’ll always be around whenever I please.
Some of the films and TV shows are not even on streaming due to licensing, so the other option(s) is to find them elsewhere.
Since I’m in the middle of the pre digital and digital age, physical media always held a special place for me to experience films.
I’ll always do both regardless of the pros and cons of how a viewing experience should be experienced.
The freaking jolt in my chest when I looked outside and realized I could see Artemis II reentering the atmosphere from my front yard
Welcome back Artemis II!
