The ranger then showed us an extensive slide show of the local osprey in flight with their catches, which included: trout, carp, snakes, bass, eels, small sharks, ducks, surprisingly large catfish, a nerf football, muskrats, a summer sausage that fell off a boat, sneakers, a fish previously thought to be extinct in the area, a Barbie Doll, and another osprey.

Barred owl. Watching it catch a mouse was awesome and barely got the camera up in time to catch it flying off. Part of a pair I see regularly and have babies nearby every year.

It's been a busy work week so far and I did not have a lot of time to go through bird photos, also because of this borby specimen. The MoDos are constantly on the feeders, filling the camera roll with thousands of photos 😆 I try to go through them all each night but with more activity there are also more photos, and some days I am just spent. Good night with this goofball, here's to a less stressful Wednesday!
