My supervisor told me he wanted to have a meeting with me to see the status of one of the reports he promised and I was like, I really don't want to have a meeting, it takes up so much pointless time and it'd be faster if I finished and reviewed it after, and he was like no let's have a meeting, and I said no I really don't want to, we met about this yesterday TWICE, and he said okay let's meet later. I clicked no to the meeting invite and I'm waiting to see if he notices

It's stupid. It's stupid! It's such a colossal waste of time. It takes forever. I suspect he overloads his calendar with pointless meetings to look more productive than he is or to have an excuse to not work on his own reports. Genuine waste of everyone's time. "Hey is it X or Y" does not require 30 minutes of my day blocked off, man

He asked me when I'm free for the meeting and I told him, slightly baffled at how many times I have had to tell him this, I do not want to have a meeting with you about this, answer my fucking question normally please, and he was like oh wait we already have our weekly meeting tomorrow, we can discuss it then. Which. Fine. Sure. Whatever.

is he aware that a person who has seven meetings over the course of a day is substantially less productive at accomplishing the tasks he wants a status update on than a person who can work uninterrupted through the day?

This may strike some as paranoia or madness but I am starting to develop a theory that all of this is an elaborate experiment to get me to kill myself and I won't give them the satisfaction
