Daisy Chains

But..no. My life is far from together. I’m 24 years old and I have yet to have a career. At this age, I wanted to start my career path, and live in my own apartment. I didn’t want to worry about money and freeloading off my parents. I wanted to rid them of this burden. I wanted them to be proud. To be proud of me. I never want them to think, “Where did we go wrong?”

I want them to see my successful. I want to them to see me as a big girl. But I’m so far from that. Every day,  I have these 15 minute emotional breakdowns about how I’m failing at life and the big question, “What if I never get my life together?” 

Ah, the ramblings of a 24 year old. There are people who say, “24 is so young! You still have time.” But no. I don’t have time. Here’s what I’ve learned while I was job searching in my desired work of field.

People want experience over everything.

I just started my passion in design/coding so no, I don’t have 5+ years of experience but I have the ability to learn a lot of material in a short amount of time. I’m just not selling myself apparently.

There are people out there who are WAY better than you. Better “candidates” than you.
