boops r back for a halloween special only
mario could gain 2 points of my respect if he had just let him loose.
Need Armando to punch nacho on his face for once to pay back for Daniel's slap!
(via @bonjas)
I wanted to provide my thoughts about this question you had about Betty shown to fall down the stairs. The incident occurs in episode 5 around the 22 minute mark for those who wish to check it out.
The conversation prior to Betty rolling off the stairs is when Marcela barges into her office and warns Betty not to use Ecomoda funds to pay for Armando's bail nor to take out a loan in the company's name to do so. Armando always seems to get out of trouble with Betty saving him. Nicolas who is in the room with her, says that Marcela is right. Armando always seems to land on his feet. How could he not when Betty is his 'floor'.
I suppose you can take that to mean that Betty has always been his safety net or she's always got his back. Which is true for the many times Betty has saved Armando despite his failures and impulsiveness.
But Armando has always got Betty's back too. He constantly protects her and makes her feel confident. The results of which vary depending on the circumstances but there has always been an emotional connection to him from her side.
Now at this point of separation and him being in jail, he's no longer with her. While we've always been shown Betty as a strong woman, I believe she's feeling unstable without him. He's her 'floor' too but he's no longer there to back her up. So metaphorically Betty is shown falling down the stairs because her safety net is missing, her 'floor' is unstable.
Once they get through their current situation and come together again as a single force we will see the emotional stability from both sides again. Now if only season 2 drops sooner...
fernando thinks he's ricardo montaner or something and has been singing the same song at a club for the past 5 episodes. i've had enough of this shit.

You know I like fictional men when I google the kind of car they drive
He actually did want Betty to feel special on her bday🥹❤️
Moments I want to point out:
How Mario’s eyes widens when Armando yells out! He definitely didn’t expect Armando to lash out🤣
Armando’s reaction!! He was so worried of what Betty might think of him!! He’s so adorable🙈
I just love scenes like this!! Insignificant yet significant!
the part in the meson scene where she confronts him about her office and he's like 'you were the one who wanted to stay' and she says 'only because i wanted to be closer to you' is an accidental confession on her part and he doesn't realize it. her rejecting olarte's office was way before anything happened between them and he doesn't pick up on it bc his mind is too busy thinking about betty's recent behavior and not taking in what she's actually saying.
February reads
The Neighbour Favor by Kristina Forest. I really liked this one, the leads were charming and I could relate to them, well, more of her than him. The premise was interesting and i like the author's writing style.

One of the things that deserves more credit for in YSBLF is the visual storytelling and how the scenes are directed in a way that reflects the storytelling.
In the above scene, at first viewing nothing in particular jumps out. We've seen many scenes with this exact setup, the board members around the table, Armando all nervous and anxious about concealing the company's financial status, Daniel suspicious about everything, Marcela being annoyed, Betty coming in to save Armando with more lies, blah blah... What's also quite normal is Armando pulls a seat for Betty next to him, he does it as naturally as putting on his cologne.
Look in particular at when Armando pushes his chair to the side and pulls up a new chair. Betty comes to sit on the chair that he was sitting on.
What happened that day was the finalization of the embargo with Betty's lawyer and the court secretary making their rounds through Ecomoda to take inventory of the machines, materials, etc. When Armando signs the embargo papers, he, as a matter of fact, has handed Betty the control of the company.
The scene visually shows that the 'seat of power' has moved from Armando to Betty, which i think is pretty neat.
