Honestly, at the end of it all, I think the best way to put it is most if not every villain in vicn's mods turns out to be pitiable more than anything. Oh trust me they're any variety of slimy bastards, cruel jackasses, and any other description, but at the end of the day, nearly if not every one of them are a kind of sorrowful pathetic that can only come from looking at someone and realizing "Wow. The Universe hates you in some way, doesn't it?"

do.... does Val hear Gore talk and think of Fathis... does he crack jokes with Gore in the battlefield and think of home... does Gore ever wonder why this pirate likes to hang out with him so much and insist on teaching him how to sail a boat even if he would never set foot in one... does Gore call the other CVFs "blood"/"sister"/"brother" and does that extend to Val... does Val hear Gore call him "brother"...
