Mafia type au where technoblade is one of Phil’s right hand men but he’s never been technically In the family (with wil and tommy being Phil’s biological children) and like Techno is treated similarly and kinda has a spot at the dinner table and all but one day he fucks up a mission and so Phil throws him under the bus and lets him get arrested as both a way to let him learn from his mistake and as a wakeup call to the both of them that Techno ISNT family
but then Phil immediately regrets pushing aside techno and tries to get him back only to find out that Techno got secretly transferred in jail and was given to some enemies for the purpose of ransom. Phil frantically tries to find him and fix his fuckup but the whole thing is a mess and Techno goes missing, presumably killed off due to causing too much trouble for his captors.
Phil then has to deal with grief and the angry reaction of Wilbur and Tommy finding out that Phil didnt protect Techno accordingly, and after a few harrowing months with Phil being a bit colder than usual, Techno comes back in secret to start killing off their enemies, staying hidden because he’s under the impression that Phil has pretty much turned his back on him and so he doesn’t want to confront all that but also, he’s hunting down all their enemies because EVEN IN BEING DISCARDED he’s still loyal to his family and he refuses to not do something to try and keep them safe
he gets discovered after stopping a kidnapping attempt on Tommy and he’s so shocked by the fact Phil is tearfully worrying over him being injured instead of just leaving him to bleed out that he straight up passes out from the overload of Emotions. And the blood loss but mostly the emotions
Also also techno in the aftermath being known as the favorite child because of how fiercely protective sbi become of him after getting him back home. They refuse to ever lose him like that ever again so every threat towards him is taken down with a little too much force perhaps. All of their allies technically know the reason why Techno is so favored now but it’s not something anyone should say out loud. Phil does not like being reminded of that stupid mistake he made.

Techno also has very prominent scars from that time he escaped his captors and Phil feels so so bad about it that he basically puts Techno on house arrest for a solid few weeks to keep him safe and that does do wonders for Techno’s worries about Phil wanting him gone but also Techno does try to climb out of a window at some point because he’s going stir crazy
Wilbur eventually bargains with Phil to have Techno come along on a low risk meeting, with Wilbur serving as his protection but literally everyone in said meeting is under the impression that Techno is the protection/bodyguard because of the scary scars and resting intimidating face but actually Wilbur is the one with a gun in his coat and giving a Very Cold Look at anyone who gets a teeny bit too close to Techno and Techno keeps feeling out of place about it because usually he’d be the extra eye for Wilbur’s protection on any other meeting Before the whole Ordeal
Tommy being the youngest and smallest isnt exactly best suited for protecting Techno from threats so he instead just makes it abundantly clear that Techno has a forever spot in their home from now on. He calls him his older brother in public in front of their allies and Techno is like !! Hey! Thats not- And then Tommy steamrolls over him and lays on the Brother Treatment even harder, almost like a big glaring announcement that Technoblade is officially a part of their family, he’s officially theirs and under their name. Some people kinda glance at Phil like wait really and when Phil makes no effort to refute it theyre like oh ok thats Noted

And also the specific detail of techno never really seeing Phil’s decision as an actual betrayal because he was the one who fucked up some mission and he was the one who assumed that his spot in the family actually meant something and its like the entire time techno is still putting his loyalty in Phils hands because Phil didn’t do anything wrong in his eyes, it was his fault for overstepping and making the mistake. He overestimated his worth. Its fine. That’s fine. His bad. If anything, good on phil for reminding them of the reality here. Its so fine. He’s so emotionally okay. He’s dealing with this in such healthy way rn. Killing all of Phil’s enemies is both an normal outlet and also his apology

I really loved reading @sircantus’s Son of the Sea fic (it’s a dsmp pirate au that I’d really recommend) and for some reason my brain focused in the idea of Wilbur keeping a journal, so I decided to make as close of a replica to the journal IRL bc I wanted a fun, creative project to do. Originally, I wanted to do all the ship’s crew but I ended up losing some motivation as time went on. Anyways, here are the journal pages. I tried to make them as realistic as I could (Full image IDs are below the cut)

I think a lot of writers might benefit from giving themselves permission to get weird with format.
Use second person, drop classic rising action and climax format, write backwards, just sit in a moment, tell all you want and refuse to show, make an entire book that’s just one run on sentence, reject tropes, use all tropes, cliche yourself to death, produce something that’s completely gibberish. Break all the rules of marketability. Become ungovernable.
Write a story that just takes place inside one pathetic little person’s head. Do it. It’s enrichment in your enclosure.
Do the writer’s equivalent of playing with finger paints. Do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it

I need more color in my life. I need to paint sunflowers on the edges of my pantlegs and wear more shiny jewelry and put more stickers around my nametag for work. I need to paint my nails every color i need to have a vast collection of little keychains i rotate through so my keys are never predictable in what they’ll be connected to. I need to get more colorful shoelaces, color coordinate them with my socks. I need people to look at me and realize they could also be putting more color into their lives. I need to live in every minute i have why would i ever tone myself down when i clearly have opportunity to be more
