Be Like Snow... Beautiful Yet Cold

I used to imagine it could be different. One day you'd say sorry and I'd believe it, or I'd stop needing you to say it. But that's not how it works. Life doesn't rewrite itself just because you want a better story. Because life, life is a fist around my neck, a reminder pressed to my skin. This is the way it is. Not how it should be. Not how I want it. Just the way it is.
