Border Patrol agents in Buffalo, NY picked up a disabled Burmese refugee, Nurul Amin Shah Alam, and when they realized he wasnt who they were looking for they dumped him at a Tim Hortons on Niagara St without notifying anyone. Amin is blind in addition to having several other physical disabilities. He does not speak english, only the Rohingya language. The family has an open missing persons case with the BPD, but detective Richard Hy tried to close it without finding him. Pressure has thankfully forced them to open the case back up.

The search has so far involved water rescue teams, K-9 units, drones with thermal imaging, and more.
They may have found the remains of my cousin who disappeared nine years ago. She was 24.
