Well. It's been about 6–8 months since I joined AO3.
Three works.
Many guest kudos that I still don't know whether they're from bots or real readers.
Still. Every little progress is a small step set in stone.

Gargamel: I’m going to capture the Smurfs to make gold and become the most powerful wizard in the world. Muahahaa.
Herman:
Can you make a fanfiction of the movie, Hey Good Lookin (1982): https://youtu.be/3-c97KZmW-g?si=MjmHalgbRG24HTqs
Hi! Thanks so much for the request. I really appreciate it! Unfortunately, I don't take writing requests, as I prefer to work on my own ideas and projects. I hope you understand, and thanks again!

I've been stuck on Chapter 15 for a while, so I decided to work on another project instead.
Meet Journal of the Unknown.
A mystery investigation following Science Smurf and Photographer Smurf as they spend one month documenting everything Foggrove refuses to explain.
Every kudos, bookmark, or comment makes my day.
Chapter 14 is now live.
Rating: Mature (17+)
Content Warnings: Graphic violence, psychological horror, trauma, past abuse, attempted sexual assault (Chapter 3), PTSD, paranoia, and religious themes.
For the first time, the story shifts entirely to Herman, the man who believes hunting magic is not cruelty... but righteousness.
Why does he fear witches and wizards so deeply?
What happened to him as a child?
And what finally sets him on the trail of the Smurfs?
The hunt begins.
A chapter about faith, fear, and how propaganda can shape a person's entire life.

Chapter 13: ThunderStorm is out
https://archiveofourown.org/works/75320341/chapters/231189001
Summary:
Thunder rumbles overhead,
Rain falls on the earth instead,
A weary Smurf attempts to hide,
Yet his past walks by his side.
A summer storm forces Wanderer indoors.
Unfortunately, storms have a habit of bringing old memories with them.
While rain batters Chanterelle Village, Wanderer smurf finds himself revisiting a chapter of his life he would rather leave buried.
You can outrun a lot of things.
Your past isn't one of them.
Additional Info:
• Character-focused chapter • Flashbacks • Found family • Rain, thunder, and emotional damage
Additional Info:
• Features Marco, Ronald, and the beginning of a rather unusual lawyer. • Contains flashbacks and discussions of past trauma. • Lawyer Smurf may or may not be inspired by a certain TV lawyer. 👀
I've noticed that many Smurfs fanfiction writers (myself included) draw inspiration from various pieces of Smurfs media, both old and new.
For example: The Smurfs (1980s), The Smurfs (2011), The Smurfs 2, The Legend of Smurfy Hollow, The Lost Village, the 2021 reboot, and now the 2025 film. (CMIIW)
To be honest, I only watched the 2021 reboot because it happened to be on TV at the time. Every other channel seemed to be airing the usual absurd dramas, and nothing else looked interesting. So I ended up watching Smurfs instead, and surprisingly, I enjoyed it.
Later, the classic Smurfs started showing up on TV as well, and I remembered watching parts of The Smurfs (2011) when I was younger. Though, if I'm being honest, I only remember seeing the ending sequence.
Even though I'm writing a Smurfs story, most of my inspiration comes from the 2021 reboot and The Smurfs: The Lost Village.
As for storytelling itself, I've taken inspiration from works outside the franchise, such as Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad and etc. not their plots, but the way those stories are structured and presented.
To be honest, it sometimes feels a little different from how I usually look for inspiration. Most of my storytelling influences come from outside the Smurfs franchise, even though the world I'm writing about is very much a Smurfs one.
About my story, The Wayfaring Stranger.
Wanderer Smurf once traveled to many places—seventeen in all.
Not a single one let him stay.
If you're wondering whether he ever visited Smurf Village and met Papa Smurf and the others, the answer is yes.
He stayed there for two weeks.
Then he left.
That was his fifteenth stop.
Afterward, he returned to London, but he didn't remain there either.
He kept moving until he reached Wales, his sixteenth and seventeenth stops.
Then came the eighteenth:
Chanterelle Village.
I don’t know if anyone is reading this.
But here goes.
About Wayfaring Stranger story in ao3.
Later, in Chapter 13, titled “ThunderStorm,”
I’ll reveal the mystery I’ve been setting up since Chapter 9: the photo of Marco, Luca, and Matteo.
Marco will appear in a flashback.
And Ronald will also reappear after disappearing in Chapter 4.
So, if anyone is reading this, do you have any questions?

In Foggrove, even the animals have glowing eyes. Blue means calm. Green means safe. Red means danger.
Some things in the forest don’t blink at all.
Lately I’ve been working on an OC-centric Smurfs dark fantasy story called Wayfaring Stranger.
It’s mostly about outsiders Trying to belong in a place that watches more than it welcomes, grief, strange forests, found family, and people trying to heal while living somewhere that feels beautiful and dangerous at the same time.
There’s supernatural folklore, multiple POVs, emotionally damaged Smurfs, and a forest that may or may not be watching everyone.
Currently 8 chapters and 50k+ words in.
Update: It’s now up to Chapter 12, with 68,225 words.
It wouldn’t feel right not to share it.
If any of that sounds interesting to you, the AO3 link is below.

Part 3: fun fact about my Smurfs AU (foggrove universe)
I got one character that might different from the other Smurfs. So here it the fun fact.
Wanderer Smurfs.
Wanderer has skills that others Smurfs don't have, he can fight with a mixed martial arts style from all over the world, and he also
once said that he was used to be called a bladedancer because of his ability to fight with a sword while dancing.
He is the creator of the elixir Las Humana potion. a potion that can transform any humanoid creature into a human, but the effects may wear off after a while. However, the dark twist is that the potion will snatch the identity of the deceased..
And their soul Will gonna living with you...inside your head, but the fun part you got a invisible friend.
He used this to get along with human without drawing any unnecessary attention.
In chanterelle village he was a guard now, CSU staff.
Another fun fact: this character inspired from Niko bellic from GTA 4.
Im gonna give you a dialog of this character so you can imagine what kind of person he is:
If a smurf ask about his past:
"past a long story, sunshine. Buy me a tea and i might telling you the part that dont give you a nightmare"
When dark faeries passing by and everybody panics:
"relax, if they want us dead. we Will not have this conversation right now"
When he try to expel the Hunter:
"oi Hunter boy, turn around before the the forest Chew your boots"
The Hunter aiming at him
"....on second thought, maybe keep walking"
Part 2: The lost Civilization Smurfs.
Hey!
Not long ago, my project reached that point where things started to click, and I wanted to share a little into the Foggrove's past, starting with something the modern Smurfs barely remember, the Fogsmurfs:
Deep under the forest, before mist ever claimed the woods, Fogsmurfs moved like whispers between glowing mushrooms. Their eyes adjusted to the dark the way owls do. Their steps were quiet, steady, familiar with creatures that only woke when the moon did.
If you took one of their hands in yours, you'd find a crescent shape carved into their palm: cool to the touch, like stone, soft, like old ink. The mark would glow faintly whenever the forest pulsed with night energy.
Their homes weren't houses.
Some of them are anncient mushroom, and some of them are the tree hollows shaped into spirals, bridges of roots that wove themselves, lanterns crafted from fungi.
You'd see these drones floating above you, drifting petal shaped wings humming, gliding in between the branches. Little sparks of blue trailing behind them.
Fogsmurfs didn't hurry life.
A new child was an event big enough to pause the whole village. They prepared every birth for years, rituals, songs, careful tending. To them, each life was like a seed they'd waited centuries to see sprout.
But then came the day the ground began to shake.
Roots tore apart.
Moonlight disappeared under clouds of dust.
And the great disaster struck making their Civilization buried.
When the shaking had stopped, the only thing left was that of the wingbeat of two storks lifting two tiny Smurfs infant from the ruins. There was a boy and a girl, wrapped in soot, the sound of cried, clinging to each other.
Those storks carried them and taking care of them both for days through dying forests, over rivers swollen with debris. until year later they heard rumors from the other animals, a new Smurfs gathering to rebuilding new village forming under the watch of two mysterious Dark Faeries. A place called Chanterelle, still small, still fragile.
That's where the last Fogsmurfs were placed.
Not with ceremony. Just hope.
Their civilization faded into moss and ruins, but pieces of the fogsmurfs beneath Foggrove waited to be discovered. the moon tattoos, the strange way the forest sometimes "remembers" people who never lived there.
What do you imagine the civilization of the Fogsmurfs looked like at its peak? And what do you think about this ancient culture?

Nothing brings people flooding into Tumblr like a good old-fashioned internet outage.
Well… except maybe a solar storm, but that might be going a bit too far in this case
Cloudflare collapses, half the internet combusts, and Tumblr’s just sitting here sipping tea.
