Unfortunately, the monster living inside has other plans. Filmmaker Kai Hasson does an amazing job with the production quality and shot selection, that produces a fun horror comedy.

If you want to see the horror short film Curry Barker made before breaking out with that blockbuster hit, here's your chance. Starring, directed by, written by, done everything by Barker, he plays a young man who receives a mysterious note on his car.

AI kills. Well, we haven't yet reached that point, but all signs are pointing to AI being the doom for humans. Stephen Packer plays with the controversial topic of AI and splashes some Michael Myers on it, giving us a dark horror comedy. Actually, swap out Michael Myers for a gimp, and you get the slashers in this film.

What the film lacks in frights and true scares, it makes up for with a dark atmosphere. The interactions between characters is very tense and filled with uneasy, causing one to anticipate that they might do something rash at any moment. The family trauma themes are present throughout leading to a final scene filled with allegory.

With the mega success of OBSESSION and BACKROOMS from YouTube creators, studios and production companies are hungry for the next big thing. Today comes the news of Steven Spielberg getting into the mix, producing the feature adaptation of Alex Kister's analog horror. Here's the first installment of the YouTube series to get you started in anticipation.

Having already covered his other short film, COAX, I now take a look at JERRY THE GINGER EATER, where we meet a cannibal with the appetite for red heads. So yeah, the title is very on point! Let's hope Storrie, the rising star, continues to make his genre short films in between starring in hit shows and movies.

Breaking out from his role in the TV hit, Heated Rivalry, actor Connor Storrie has a side hustle of creating horror short films. Shot in 2024, COAX is the first, where the story is a mysterious black and white living nightmare, accompanied by eerie visuals and unsettling sound design.

Cults are alive and well in 2026, as we all know. No matter how many examples we've seen where the end result is dark and tragic, people still are dumb enough to follow grifters who have their own sinister agendas. Starring Peyton List and Sarah Yarkin, this polished looking horror film by actor-filmmaker Annie Marie Elliot, brings home the fact that cults are simply: evil.

I wasn't familiar with Mike Jittlov's work and talent until I came upon his short film, WIZARD OF SPEED AND TIME, which floored me with the amount of style and creativity found in it. Mike has done it again with Animato, his handmade visual journey that makes you wonder the type of magic he used to create stop-motion masterpiece!

I hope you like centipedes, because this film has them in abundance and in many sizes. Tapping into the go-to theme of losing a family member, this story revolves around a young family encountering a dark mystery tied the ailing patriarch. What the film lacks in practical scares, it makes up for in creepy vibes.
