Finally, I present the line-up I’ve been working on here and there since May! There are plenty more characters I’d like to make, but for now I think it’s about time I posted these!!

So this is a bit of a follow up to a question I was asked a while back, but also a follow up to a fan interaction that happened about a week ago - and is a massive example of how NOT to meet us.

So, last week I tweeted about someone I told off for loitering outside of Yogtowers. Due to Twitter being restrictive on characters, I chose ‘loitering’ - in reality, I said ‘dude, it’s not cool to stand out here, security might move you on’ or similar. They then told me that they wasn’t waiting for Yogs people, they were waiting for their dad to collect them - but that he might have just gone to the pub instead. I then apologized, explained the deal with people hanging around so he understood why it was a problem (because it upsets other businesses in the building and undermines privacy of individuals), took a photo and we both went on our way. Or, rather, I went inside and he stayed there.

Of course, I felt awful - how were they to know we were there?! Add to that the fact that their dad had left them there, and I felt like a terrible person for telling off a young teenager who was just waiting on the curb.

HOWEVER…

It turns out they were actually fibbing to my face, since they’d met four of us across that morning and then tweeted all of us - myself being the last. Also, they’d sold every one of us the same story - about his dad coming to collect him but possibly forgetting and going to the pub, and that he had no idea that YogTowers was nearby. I believed him until later on when I chatted to the lads, and then saw he’d sent a tweet earlier on that week to Lewis saying he knew where YogTowers was.

Yes, we do have people turn up without warning. The worst culprits are actually parents bringing their kids without checking that it’s not okay first, then standing outside demanding to see people and refusing to leave.

We discourage it, as it’s a place of work and not a tourist attraction. It’s our livelihoods - we may appear to clown around a lot, but we take our space and our time seriously. We also have individuals there that don’t want to appear on camera, and rely on having peace, quiet and a private area for them to be, so it’s off limits.
