Oh hey, long time no see. I decided to try painting again and a new style because my old style was pissing me off

You sat next to Jumin on the edge of your bed.  With an arm draped around him, he leaned his forehead onto your shoulder.  It was just about to turn three o’clock in the morning, and Jumin had woken up for the fourth time that week from nightmares about his past stepmothers.

It was never his intention to wake you up, but the shivering was too much to sleep through.

You pushed his bangs back and kissed the top of his head.  “I’m here with you, it’s okay.”

At that, Jumin buried himself further into your side, squeezing you tightly.  It was rare to see him this vulnerable, and God did it hurt.

Prompt: “Are you scared?”

Jumin x MC

- This is the first business party you’ve ever attended as Jumin’s fiancee. He decides to take you there and publicly announce the engagement to C&R’s business partners.

- You’re overwhelmed, obviously. Even with the dress and expensive make-over Jumin provided for you, you feel inferior in this… sea of rich people.

- Jumin, on the other hand, is on top of his game; with his arm around your waist at all times, he greets every guest with a smile and never forgets to introduce you to everyone.

- “Meet my fiancee, MC.”

- You never knew that the word ‘fiancee’ has such a nice ring to it until tonight.

- And the way he smiles, the way his face lights up and even blushes every now and then, the way his voice sounds as he tells everyone about you…

- It’s like he’s beyond proud to introduce you as his fiancee and future wife.

- But you cannot help but notice everyone else’s reactions.

- Their surprised looks, their rolled eyes, their mocking stares, their awkward chuckle.

- Their judgement.

- It is suffocating… it makes your heart pound… it makes your hands sweat… it makes breathing extremely hard.

- Still, you try your best to smile and greet everyone, focusing on the man next to you instead of everyone else. That as long as he’s here, right by your side, you can take on anything.

- But pretending can only go so far.

- “Jumin…”

- “Yes, love? Is there something wrong?”

- “I, I just need to go to the restroom for a bit.”

- “Are you okay? You look pale-”

- Before you can make any excuse, a man approaches Jumin, keeping him occupied as you slip away.

- When you arrive in the restroom and see yourself on the mirror, you notice how horrible you look.

- Not the make-up, but you notice how tense you are; you’re sweating here and there, despite the air-conditioned room. And Jumin’s right - you look pale.

- Even your sweaty hands are shaking.

- But more than that, when you look at yourself in the mirror, you finally realize that being with Jumin is more than just about being with the one you love.

- These parties will be your routine; you will meet people who are far more accomplished than you are - women who are prettier, sexier, richer, and even more intelligent than you are.

- And when they see what you see now, they will judge you.

- “I should go back,” you tell yourself, controlling your breathing. “Jumin will worry if I stay too long.”

- You get back to Jumin talking to a woman. Immediately you recognize her as one of the coming artists who has been catching a lot of attention lately.

- God, she’s drop-dead gorgeous.

- You’d give anything to have a tall and slender body like hers. A flowing, long brunette hair like hers. Crystal blue eyes like hers. A crispy laughter like hers.

- “Oh, come on, Jumin, you cannot be serious!” She laughs yet again. 

- She’s steadily, but oh-so-casually closing in the proximity between them. Jumin, used to those kinds of things, seems rather oblivious to her flirting, as he continues to talk to her.

- You turn around and walk away, just as she slips her arm on Jumin’s.

- Biting your lip to hold back the tears, you’re trying to find someplace where you can be alone. You need to be alone.

- “You’re finally alone.” You turn to the voice and see a man you remember greeting earlier with Jumin. He’s one of the CEOs of C&R’s partner company who’s only a few years older than you. “MC, right? I’ve been wanting to talk to you, but he never leaves you alone.”

- Oh no…

- Jumin starts to notice how long you’ve been gone. He would’ve looked for you immediately if not for the many intrusions. Just when he thought he’d finished talking with someone, another one comes in.

- And this woman in front of him just won’t stop talking.

- Even as he responds to her, Jumin tries to scan around the room for you as much as he possibly could.

- Where are you? What’s taking you so long? He noticed how you weren’t really enjoying yourself; he shouldn’t have let you wander alone.

- He was about to notify his guards when his eyes caught your light blue dress among the crowd.

- And that you weren’t alone.

- “I’m sorry, Miss Park, I’ll have to excuse myself.”

- He can hear the woman behind him calling out for him, but his focus is only on you.

- And how the man dares to touch you. 

- “I’ll appreciate it if you get your hands off my fiancee, Taewoo,” he cuts in, grabbing Taewoo’s arm as he tries to take you somewhere.

- Taewoo immediately retracts his hand. “Jumin! This is- I was only talking to her; no need to be so aggressive.”

- Jumin circles his arm around you protectively; he can feel you sigh in relief. He smiles, not taking his eyes off Taewoo, whom he’s known for a few years. “Were you? Then, I’d like to be included in the conversation.”

- “It’s nothing, really. I should go. Have a good night.”

- “Are you okay?” he whispers.

- “I’m fine.” You smile at him. “Thanks… you came at the perfect time.”

- He stares at you. “We’re leaving early. Let’s go.”

- “What do you mean? Jumin?”

- But no matter how many times you ask him, he’s not telling you anything. Yet, he never lets go of your hand, even after you two are in the car, stroking it with his fingers every now and then.

- It helps you calm down.

- When the two of you arrive in his penthouse, you ask him again. “Jumin, what’s wrong? If this is about Taewoo, nothing happened-”

- He pulls you into a hug.

- “Jumin?”

- “I’m sorry, love, I should’ve known.”

- “Jumin, what are you-”

- “The party… you weren’t enjoying yourself. I’m sorry.”

- You want to tell him that it’s okay. That you’re having a blast. That he doesn’t need to apologize for anything.

- But instead you burst into tears, your defenses crumbling down.

- When you finally stop crying, he helps you sit on the edge of the bed, while he kneels in front of you, holding your hands in his.

- “It’s okay, love. You can tell me.”

- “I just… can’t.”

- “What do you mean? Let me help you, darling; I’m here for you.”

- “Jumin… why me? I mean, look at me. I’m not rich, and I’m nowhere near as pretty as all the ladies there. I’m small and thin, my skin is not perfect, I’m emotional… I’m just… not good-”

- “My love, what made you think that way?”

- “I… I realize that you’re always going to have people around you, and someday you might find someone better, much better, than I am… It’s just… I can’t. Even now, I’m sure people are already talking-”

- “Are you scared, love? Are you scared that I’m going to leave you someday?”

- You nod weakly as the tears fall down yet again.

- Jumin strokes your cheek gently, wiping away the tears. “MC… I love you with all my heart. I wasn’t just saying it when I told you I want to spend the rest of our lives together. I wasn’t joking when I said I wanted to marry you.

- “You saw through my money and position… you saw my tangled threads… the real me… and you didn’t run away from me. You know how ugly I could be, possessed with my emotions, but you stay with me. You’ve seen how many times I nearly lost my control, but you support me. Unlike others who approach me for money and power, you smile at me and embrace who I am as a man, with all my flaws.

“Regardless of what people say about you, or what you say about yourself, I love you for who you are. Even with all of your imperfections, you’re still the most beautiful woman with the most beautiful heart for me, darling. Please… have more confidence in yourself; you’re beautiful just the way you are. I do not care about imperfections because I am not perfect, too. Nobody is.

“And that’s where I need you… and you need me. Just like how you’ve accepted all my flaws, I’ll accept yours. We may not be perfect on our own, but we’re perfect for each other. Can you trust me on that, my love?”

- “I do… I trust you, Jumin, and I love you. So, so much.”

- “I love you, too.” He smiles the most beautiful smile you’ve ever seen. “Please rely on me, my love. Let me be your strength, just as you’ve been mine.”

- His smile is contagious. “Okay…”

- With every kiss and embrace that follow, you are reminded over and over how lucky you are to have him by your side.

- And that together, there’s nothing the two of you cannot face.

Her laugh.  She was ticklish; it was a very wonderful day for him once he learned about it.  “Ahahahaha!” Left and right she wiggled in his embrace. To her dismay, his hug only tightened, one arm wrapped around her stomach while his right hand traced up and down the side of her chest. “Jumiiii-AHAHAHAHA!” Laughter turned into roaring cackles, she tried to turn until her right side lightly bumped his chest. “Oppa, you’re meaahahahaha!” Unfortunately for her, this only meant for his hand to easily caress higher until deft fingers tickled the left side of her neck.  Jumin only chuckled warmly as he kissed the right side of her head. Chu, chu, his kisses were endless, smiling lips then traced down to the shell of her beet red ear.  He bit back a laugh himself once he felt her tilting her head slightly towards him.  “Oppaaaaaa!”  Her laughter bloomed flowers in his heart.

okay so hear me out jumin is my favorite bean out of all the beans in the mysme can and I think about stuff like this ALL the time, so I really hope you like what I’ve written for you!

this sweet man is offering you the world on a silver platter.

you could have literally anything you ask for, just say the word and he’ll arrange twenty different options for you to choose from.

yet there you are, having last night’s dinner leftovers for lunch.

you have this little habit of storing food in tupperware containers, that’s all there is in the fridge now thanks to you.

that… can’t be healthy… jesus christ.

honey, the chef has a perfectly good lunch already set up and ready for you to eat.

could it be that you didn’t like today’s menu?

is it the chef’s cooking? he can hire a better one if that’s the issue here.

jumin nO don’t fire the poor man.

whenever you’re out shopping together, you always seem way too wary of price tags and end up choosing the cheapest stuff regardless of whether you like it or not.

and he always insists you don’t?? need?? to spare any expenses??

and so these little incidents keep happening and he grows more and more concerned.

and it soon becomes a problem to someone who’s been raised in a wealthy family where struggling to meet bills has never been a thing.

besides, jumin han’s way of showing love is through gifts.

which while excessive and a bit ridiculous in his case, it’s still a valid way of showing love, especially because he pours his heart out into every gift he gets you.

and actually, the first time he tries pampering you with expensive gifts, things get awkward and you seem so overwhelmed.

truth is you feel undeserving of his gestures because there’s no way in hell you could give him something equally good in exchange.

when you both finally realize it’s affecting your relationship, you decide to sit down and have a heartfelt talk.

safe to say he doesn’t give a damn about your past nor your income as what matters now is the present and the future you’re trying to build together.

there’s no need to feel insecure or ashamed if you do.

you have financial stability now, you don’t need to worry about bills or debts, and your only priorities should be taking care of yourself, doing what you’re passionate about without any restrictions, and stay faithful to your core values because that’s why he fell in love with you.

among several other reasons.

and come on, according to what he’s heard and read, a couple should have each other’s back and take care of one another: for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.

yes this man actually recites the marriage vows as he’s holding your hands and looking at you like the sun shines out of your behind.

let’s not forget as well that he’s making huge efforts to tame his inner demons and ease his need of controlling your every move and decision.

so how about you try relaxing a little?

no more tupperwares, please.

and just know that he’ll treasure anything you get for him.

it does not matter if it’s not pricey, as long as it holds your heart, it’ll be more than enough.

bonus: he’s probably gotten inspired by your money saving skills and your strange ideas, so he’s started many projects just for you.

like he now wants to make everything fancy yet convenient and cheap for commoners, and he’s constantly asking you for advice.
