it turns out the uploader is in fact the woman in the photo (she's uploaded a few other pictures of herself to other articles) and she ran an extremely web 1.0 site on the topic of bondage

this was apparently a long-standing fantasy of hers and she did an entire video plus accompanying photoshoot about it, which was run in a bondage magazine in the 90s and did in fact take place on an abandoned train track. they committed to the bit hard enough that there's even a shot of the sinister villain looming over her with a big document labeled DEED and a pen

the best part is that according to this page, there were two "villains" involved (the woman's two partners, apparently), and the other one was dressed as a gorilla. sadly there are no images of the gorilla kidnapper because that sounds like. even funnier.

The game is so fucking fun, but...

Even outside the game, I probably wouldn't be THIS into it if it was JUST gameplay. The texture of the world is amazing. This weird occult-noire with sort-of 1920s science fiction elements in it... it's the type of creative spark that only arises from the infinite money scrooge mcduck vault that is valve's office, where they can spend infinite money iterating until something is perfect.

The whole worldbuilding is slotting together so pleasingly, with so many neat things that intersect, and so many ideas that I've NEVER seen implemented in this type of setting. Even the voice actors they choose; they have REGIONAL AMERICAN ACCENTS! HAZE TALKS LIKE SHE'S FROM UPSTATE NEW YORK! ME FOR REAL FOR REAL!!!

The fanart for it is amazing. I love the characters. I love how there are so many FREAKS, and how the community is not just showing them love, but is down BAD for them.

Granted any who know me would know that this isn't per-se surprising to me lol.

Still, I'm really into the whole vibe. I listen to the voice lines at work. I listen to the VN leaks still occasionally. I even listen to some of the music. I swear to god this is gonna stir up the old parts of me that start trying to work out magic systems and wiki-likes for the world.

And god forbid I try to homebrew a cursed apple dnd campaign.
