#there is so much more to it #plants fungi microscopic organisms #the different biological and behavioural categories WITHIN the male-female binary that animals do #you could write a book on the topic and only talk big picture stuff #like yes gender is more than sex and could be a completely separate social system obviously that isn't even what the argument is about #but to claim that in all of biology every species is made up of females and males that make female and male babies #is such a staggeringly incorrect statement as if you said that every living being has a closed circulatory system with a heart #or that every biological organism has two eyes #or that everything has a mouth and a separate butthole #I cant explain how much the biological world is just cells pressing into each other and constantly trying to colonize each other #its all just wet meat slapping into each other doing weird ass nonsense that works GOOD ENOUGH until they pass the baton their kids #and mutating wildly every which way #there is no divine order #its all just meat and wet ducktape and that is whats beautiful about it #please read dear doctor tatiana #it might be dated by now but its a hillarious book about all the fucked up ways living beings reproduce and will broaden your horizons

Cause sometimes I want to read books for specific reasons but then I forget and when I get into the mood that book would warrant I'm just staring ahead bamboozled. Like I tbr-ed Shroud because it was recommended as having a lot of xenobiology, but I WILL forget about that fact in a week
