DO you need ART REFERENCES?!
I love to organize, I love art, I love drawing from reference. I have a Pinterest account upon which I store boards for photo reference. I will also share in this post the android app I use for gesture drawing, which I have zero affiliation with it's just the only one I've found - you can hook it up to your pinterest account and use boards you've created..... I'm not sure if you can use other peoples boards that you've saved. (app listed under the cut) Feel free to save and recreate the boards which I am about to list. I'm sharing these because I love art and drawing from reference is one of the best ways to improve ones' art. My pinterest account shares the name of this blog: Penumbrialhexandroga
Here are direct links to each of my boards. I update these sporadically:
ARCHITECTURE - Any type of built structure ENVIRONMENTS - The great outdoors - this boards kinda small rn I'll try to build it up FASHION - Similar to Misc. Poses. I use "Fashion" very broadly here. Any kind of adornment; armour, runway, street, historical, traditional FUNDAMENTALS - Anatomy and basic form HANDS AND EXTREMETIES MISC. POSES - This is the one I use primarily for gesture drawings. Focuses on the form, full body poses. I try to get a diversity but I'm limited by what pinterest predominantly shows me. PORTRAIT - Face up close. There are expression sheets in here too. Great if you want to do a "Med's 100 heads" type challenge.
ACTION POSES - multiple people/beings or extreme angles BIRDS CANINE FELINE FISH INSECTS MAMMALS - idk if all these are techincally mammals MEDIEVAL/FANTASY WEAPONS MUSHROOMS/PLANTS/FLOWERS MUSTELIDS/RODENTIA/MARSUPIALS PRIMATES - non-human primates REPTILES/AMPHIBIANS SEA ANIMALS - including fish.... idk STATUARY - really just greco-roman rn I'll try to broaden it.
