She feared that she might be cheapening his sacrifice.
Sudden as it'd been, he'd given his life for the cause, for the future of their home.
But she couldn't let this be his end.
"I have heard that you speak with the AllSpark," Strika said to the tiny abomination she'd carried off to the old Earth Decepticon base, "I need you to bring someone back from the Well of All Sparks. The Decepticon that the Autobots executed last week."
Sari glared coldly at the massive Decepticon as she brushed dust off her dress. She didn't appreciate being snatched from the street.
"Lugnut was a brute. He's hurt my family more times than I can count. Why would I help you bring him back?"
"He was not a brute!" she slammed a fist against the ground, "He was kind! He was gentle! He wrote poems for me! We snuffed sparks so we would never have to fear Autobot Tyranny again! He- he... he saw me as more than just a warframe. He called me beautiful when everyone else only called me powerful. He praised my tactics when others only noticed my ammo capacity. He loved my laugh and I loved his optics... I loved him more than you can understand."
Sari frowned for a moment, but forced herself to keep glaring before the massive Decepticon could notice.
"None of that answers my question."
Strika growled. She should have known that the complex emotions of a conjux endura would be beyond what a mere organic could understand. She'd hoped that her hybridized nature would give her some sort of empathy, but clearly that was too much for the Autobots' pet.
She only had one thing to trade that the little monster could care about.
"My ship has permission to enter the depths of the Decepticon Imperium," she offered, "I could park it outside the Council Hall unimpeded if I wanted to. If you give it to the Autobots, they could use it to capture every member of the Decepticon High Council... we will not survive without their leadership."
Sari was only able to keep herself neutral by using her technopathy on herself to paralyze her facial muscles. If Stryka was telling the truth, then she was giving her the war.
She didn't want to give anything away, so she hopped down from the rock she'd been placed on and walked back to her jetpack.
Strika slowly tracked her as she walked across the room. Between her stoic face and her lack of an energy signature, the technoorganic was unreadable to her.
"Have the ship ready by tomorrow. I'll have an AllSpark fragment ready to bring Lugnut back AFTER we're done with it."
"Do you want him back, or not?"
Strika froze, before looking down and to the side in submission.
Sari took off, leaving Strika to process that she'd just traded the future of the Decepticons.
At the same time, Sari's processor was racing. She'd learned a lot about herself since meeting the Autobots. Today she'd learned just how far she'd go to keep her family safe.
