november 1, 1974 in vernon, connecticut, united states. thirteen year old lisa was last seen just after 7:30 at night, supposedly walking home after meeting with a friend. lisa had snuck out to meet this friend, as she had been grounded for being drunk the night before. lisa’s parents were beginning to take a firmer approach with her after finding out that she spent time in the company of several adult men and had been arrested for underage drinking. when lisa’s mother arrived home late on november 1, she found a note from lisa saying “you think i’m a little girl, but i’m not.” this note also told of lisa’s relationship with a much older man. authorities investigated lisa’s case as that of a runaway at first, but after four other girls in lisa’s age range disappeared within the next ten years, the case status was updated to a suspicious disappearance. it is unclear if lisa’s disappearance was related to these others, or if she was indeed a runaway. lisa remains missing.
