Yay, I finished Devil May Cry 1! I had a blast, though I seriously struggled with the final Nightmare boss battle (which is not the final boss battle against Mundus, which I did my first try, weirdly enough 🤷‍♀️). I just could NOT figure out how to deal out damage to Nightmare for some reason and it took me about half a dozen tries on Easy before I realized that I needed to line up with that glowing core orb on its back and just whack-a-doodle that thing with all my might to take its health down.

Anyway, if it pleases the court, imagine me sitting here with my light-up cat ear headphones on, grumble-yelling things like, "Dante! Hit it in the butt. The BUTT, Dante! Hit. Its. BUTT!!! Smack that hiney, Dante. SMACK IT!!!"

Ahem. Yes, I'm not exaggerating. I was saying things like that. Good thing my dad was in another room watching a movie, lol! Though he's been known to walk by when I'm complaining out loud to the characters in my game and say, "They can't hear you, you know?" to which I always say, "Oh yes they can!!!!" 🤬🤬🤬😂😂😂

In summary, I had a lot of fun, occasional frustrating battles aside, and I was definitely feeling the Dante/Trish vibes until my man kept saying she reminded him of his mom.

I didn't look anything up about the characters so I'm going to either pretend my good dude didn't say that and Trish is in no way his mother or... I'm going to have start shipping Dante/Nightmare, lol! Which gives all my above hiney comments a REALLY interesting spin, right? 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫🤣🤣🤣

But, just in case we're in the clear to ship it, (I do know that Mundus made Trish specifically to look like Dante's mother, I'm just worried that somewhere in between DMC 1 and DMC 5, we're going to learn she really IS or something like that 😬) please enjoy a short picspam of Dante attempting to save Trish with the POWAH OF LOVE (and melodrama)...
