How does a broken heart act?
Can one truly find a silver lining in a sable cloud blending into the night sky?
Or does a hopeful be possibly hoping for a ray of light amidst their darkest hour?
How can one be in good spirits when their hearts are soaked in tears?
Alas, such is but a chaos, a dance, of heart and mind. A progression, if you may, of making a few steps forward but end up on the first place you thought you've gone over.
So the mind, instinctively, decides that you just follow the rhythm of your despair. It plays a music only you can hear and the body indulges into the hypnotizing notes cascading the steps, 1-2-3-1-2-3, seemingly takes you from it all dashing away from your sadness. The mind is contented and, if nothing else, drunk in an immeasurable elation. Like the euphoria in a most exquisite high.
But what does one do when the music stops? When the music plays its last beat, that's when everything becomes motionless. The heart goes on, beating, and spitefully remembers. Suddenly you find yourself on the very same place you thought you'd never come back to.
So, again, the mind ponders. Try as you might, waltzing away from the ghosts of your past can only do so much. You are where it all started.
But what if, instead of trying to move forward you decide to take a few steps back and reliving all that has happened? Its godly beauty while it lasted, its aphrodisiac feeling while it persisted, its somnolent music while it rang, its enslaving taste while it kept on, even its smell that just takes you away.
Oh, but the heart truly remembers. Taking a step means starting and ending on the same foot. For one to move forward, one must start from where the good things began, not the part where everything was torn apart.
And so, you bring all these fondest of memories into heart, and let the mind play it over and over. That will be your music. The body, then, starts to move. A dance, if you may.
Struggling when thorns are flesh deep into the body like chains binding you aground would only keep on wounding your already beaten physique.
Accept what has happened before and never regret a single memory of it. The resounding echoes of the past made you who you are and, thus, is essential to reclaiming yourself.
Such a brave heart you possess,
But how does a brave heart act?
You dance forward and dance away, clasping bittersweet memories to your hand and spreading it like gold dust into the air basking into its age-old splendor.
That, my friend, is how a brave heart acts.
