It sure is a beautiful day to explore the coast! (at Devils Punch Bowl State Natural Area)
sometimes you sit down to make Serious Art and then you screw it all up and so you say fuck it and you play around and that's where the magic happens. #day51 of #100daysofblackwhiteandpink for #the100dayproject (at Portland, Oregon)
Sometimes I forget to meditate, so I paint instead. #day48 of #100daysofblackwhiteandpink for #the100dayproject

I left a little white space in my day today and came up with some exciting ideas that I hope to share with you soon! In the meantime, happy Friday, friends! #day46 of #100daysofblackwhiteandpink for #the100dayproject

And now for something completely different! 😂I've been using very subtle pinks for my #100daysofblackwhiteandpink but for #day12 of #the100dayproject but today I decided to use a super bright pink to switch things up a bit! Some spots are still a bit wet, but I wanted to post this now because I'm about to start a movie and don't want to forget. ☺️💕 Hope you're having a happy Saturday, my friends!
So this piece of paper actually started as my blotting paper for another painting from the other day. But I thought the colors looked pretty, so I just added a bit more on top! 😉💕 #day11 of #the100dayproject #100daysofblackwhiteandpink #artbyjulestillman

“I believe that artists should speak about the most desperate and desirable issues for humanity,” says Korean painter Kwon Kyung-Yup. Though known for her realistic portraits of melancholy subjects, first featured in Hi-Fructose Vol. 24, Kwon describes herself as a happy person whose paintings are about recalling memories. Her works find an emotional balance between her artistic inspirations, citing the beauty in Klimt’s paintings which she pairs with tragedy, as found in the works of Caravaggio.
