105 miles. I live 105 miles from home. 1 hour 45 minutes away from home, give or take. My parents will wait til the end of the week when i come home to ask for my help. I have 3 siblings who live with them to help, and an extra 2 siblings who visit 3-4 times throughout the week. All perfectly capable of helping. But my parents won’t even bother to think to ask them. Just Julie. Just me. “You’re the girl, you have to help me.” “You’re the youngest, you have to help me.” “You are my daughter, you have to help me.” So if i was a boy, if i wasn’t the youngest, if i was your son, you wouldn’t ask for my help? But why? What’s the difference in asking your other 9 children who are more easily accessible? All of the things you ask for do NOT need MY personal help. Anyone can. 

Being the girl, being the youngest, and being the daughter that you both want me to be, i help you. I may not help with complete eagerness, but i do. What i HATE though, is when you try to tell me what to do when helping you. What i HATE is when you never say thank you. What i HATE is when i politely, patiently, teach you how to do things so you don’t have to wait on me for help and you refuse to learn. What i HATE is when you hover over me while i help. What i HATE is when you always ask for help when you know i’m doing something. What i HATE is when you get angry with me when i can’t help you the SECOND you ask when you know i’m busy with something and unable to until a couple more minutes.
