Someone has told me that the user ctrlshiftc-simberly was posting all my work without permission, on tumblr and simsfileshare. Tumblr removed their blog due to copyright infringement.
I ask if anyone sees another blog doing this, please let me know <3
I know my older redirect links are broken since linkvertise bought adfly, and since then, I always give the direct links when people ask me (except asks that demand and don't say please or thank you) because they are all still available in simsfileshare. I've been editing old links bit by bit, but it's a lot of them and my mental health doesn't allow me to do it often.
I explained that to this person and requested them to remove my content and gave the alternative to reblog the original posts with the direct links, instead of stealing the images and cc to make new posts. And they said they wouldn't delete and would continue to post anyways, as they did (including cc that has direct links in my posts). Which shows me this person doesn't want to help the community, but wants to be seen as the "Hero". Because the community is both sides, non-creators and creators. If this person has the time and energy to upload everything one by one, they could reblog with direct links, and I would even inform my followers of the direct links reblogs, but instead they prefer to hijack the downloads and affect me.
Honestly, I've been barely surviving with constant autistic burnout and I'm doing my best to answer asks with direct links, fix the old links and post cc in a batches. I've thought about quitting so many times, but I kept going because of my followers, but this situation made me wonder if I should just drop tumblr at all, cause someone stealing cc seems like all my work down the drain. It might not seem like it matters, but when I see my links from 2014 still having downloads, it means a lot to me <3 so hijacking links affects me.
I've been creating since 2014 and been in the sims community since way before that, and I've seen so many creators quitting and deleting years of work, because of situations like this. And they were right because everyone hits the last drop, when it could be avoided.

S3SS 1.6.2 - Century of humiliation edition
Updates / New patches
Fixed an incredible "bug" w/ Direct3D9, S3SS should now no longer use 200mb~ randomly… This took me ohh... several days to track down.
Updated dependencies, mimalloc being a notable one
New/merged Lot Streaming Optimization patch and new object throttling patch which is really cool and good and you should enable them all
Add aligned-alloc family support to mimalloc just in case
A big 4k LoC (I am mentally unwell) update to S3MM is also coming soon-ish, with the imgui API coming shortly after. It'll come with a very janky mod conflict viewer that I plan to improve upon sometime in the future (very WIP atm like the rest of the side-features!). Once the imgui API drops I'll then probably move it out of beta and start releasing the patches I've written using it.

Sims 3 Performance Boost Patch Collection
Hey everyone, here's another spicy experimental thingy from me. Emphasis: experimental. Please back up your saves! I haven't found any issues, but you should err on the safe side!
I'm resisting the urge to write this description as a winding story about why this thing exists and how so here's as quick a rundown as I can manage:
This is an ASI mod (like Smooth Patch or Settings Setter) that goes into your Bin folder and does its thing at runtime.
Depending on your setup, it might significantly speed up loading times from game launch to in-world. In one of my saves, it went down from over 18 minutes down to between 3 and 4.
It should also reduce memory usage (specifically, the 'virtual address space'--the real reason for Error 12 and memory-related crashes). How much depends on your setup, but it could be up to several hundred MB.
In-game stutters and especially multi-minute freezes (if you experience those) should be shorter and fewer overall. Not gone, but much more playable.
This mainly works on retail and Steam versions of the game. Many of the patches won't activate on EA App version. You can still use it, and might still reap some benefits, but the strongest patches aren't supported yet. It's in the pipeline, though, so stay tuned.
You need an ASI loader for the mod to load (like the wininet.dll from Ultimate ASI loader). If you use any other ASI mod, like Smooth Patch or Settings Setter, you likely already have it.

sims3fiend et al for Sims 3 Settings Setter. This mod started out as a "Settings Setter lite" for personal use because Setter proper added a little too much VAS for my bloated save's liking. But all the S3SS patches are removed from this release version. You can use them together freely if you want all the patches.

Sims 3 game bin folder content
During the last couple of years, I installed pretty many mods and patches directly in the game bin folder, and today, as I wanted to test too that shiny performance mod, I tried to clean my bin folder, removing all those previous patches and mods. But I must have done something wrong because my game looks weird (weirdly sharp), so could someone please list me all the files/folders that are in a un-modified Sims 3 game bin folder, please? Also, is it possible that I have forgotten something that we wouldn't install in the bin folder, nor in the documents/packages folder?

Hi everyone!
It looks like I've finished work on the city center - hooray! Today, let's take a look at this district.
General plan
The City Hall
I've already shown you the screenshot below, so let's start with this part. The town hall will be located here, and across from it I'll develop a square. In the row of buildings to the right, there will be some kind of expensive bar – the very, very heart of the city. The kind of place tourists visit first, and so on.
This time, in the town hall building, I'll make a combined rabbit hole for politics, police, and the military, similar to the town hall in Bridgeport. I'll also make part of the interiors accessible, just like I did in Bobrokurwice. As for the square, it will most likely be very simple in terms of furnishings, but I would like to organize something like a Christmas market there.
The row of buildings on the right, by design, should become a kind of central restaurant district, so that Sims can comfortably have lunch while looking at the town hall, the square, and the embankment.
The university area
Along the river, I've placed something like a university quarter. The university itself will be this building, where I'll put the science center rabbit hole. It seems silly to dedicate such a large lot to just a rabbit hole, so I'll work on the interiors and try to recreate the atmosphere of an old European university. Perhaps some of you might find it interesting for roleplaying or taking screenshots. I also have a few ideas for activities on this lot, so you'll have a reason to visit this place beyond just work. I'll keep them a secret for now, because I need to test whether they actually work.
Next to the university will be a library with the same old-school vibe, offering opportunities to build certain skills not only through books.
And completing the university quarter will be a small park where you can find some insects, seeds, and herbs, as well as a building that I'm tentatively thinking of using as an old records archive. I might make this lot residential, so it feels like an old professor's house.
Behind the town hall
Let's move back to the town hall. To the right of the bar lot, I'll place an art gallery, and right next to it... a criminal rabbit hole. Yes, right in the center. I'll disguise it as a currency exchange.
Somewhere in the center of any old European city, there should be a church. This city will have one too. I've placed it right behind the town hall. Just like in Bobrokurwice, the church will contain a mausoleum, and just like before, you'll be able to explore the interiors. Right now, this is the only lot in the center that needs more work, because I plan to use a bit more CC here for added atmosphere.
Also behind the town hall, there will be a residential lot, but it will be intended for one of the characters – something like the ancestral estate of an ancient family that has influenced this city for centuries.
And there are two lots that, shall we say, close off the center. One of them will definitely be residential, because I want to give you the chance to live in the center. On the second lot, I'll make a café. I'll try to put an emphasis on pastries, because you can't imagine Belgium without waffles and chocolate.
There's one last lot, which looks like this. To be honest, I don't have any ideas yet about what to put here, but I'll figure it out along the way. A mystery even to myself, if you will.
What's next?
At the end, as usual, I'll share my plans for the next stages. Now I plan to work on the interiors of the lots in the already-built districts, and also start working on the landscape. Usually, I try to choose a landscape at the very beginning of working on a town, so that I can plan the layout around it. This time, I decided to start from the center. Since the main part of the city is ready, I can now place the other districts more freely, depending on the landscape. At the same time, I'll try to make my own distant terrain.
Note about my content...
I really didn't want to have to make this post, but here we are. My heart genuinely feels heavy having to write this at all. I believe the modding community, especially the TS3 modding community, is built on sharing freely and bringing new creations to our beloved old game. I don't believe our community is built on profiting from the content that we share. I have never created a formal TOU because to be honest, I really don't care all that much what people do because at the end of the day, these are pixels. Pixels that we don't retain rights to once we make them for a sims game, per EA's EULA. That being said, after having seen this happen twice in the last week, I must ask - please do not package my CC or conversions with your lots or worlds if you are then going to turn around and paywall them on Patreon or any other pay service. Please don't even use it in your lot or world unless it will be shared freely. I don't support charging players for lots or worlds. It's just not okay.

So I was watching cjplays review some random worlds from the exchange. My interest was peaked when he came across the empty, unassuming neighborhood of Happy Acres. (Shown below)
And of course the first thing I thought of, being the brainrotted sims-obsessed gaybeaux I am, was the beta testing neighborhood from the Sims Steering Committee. The game itself was a Sims 1 prototype from 1998.

Koh Thai Update
Hi All!
After taking 2 months off from working on Koh Thai (for some travels and the Paralives early access release) I am back to it!! This weekend I'm decorating the last couple of houses in the more rural part of the bigger island and the dive sites.
After I finish these I've only got a few more families to make and some finishing touches on a couple of lots before I start play testing, so excited!!
Default Replacement: MySims-style overhead plumbob for TS3
So I started messing around with meshing a couple of days ago, and started by recreating the plumbob as seen in the MySims franchise (ぼくとシムのまち, my introduction to the sims) on the wii from scratch :)
It's much tinier, less elongated, and more bevelled than the default TS3 plumbob:
