Legend tells that the fearsome pirate Saltbeard once visited a hammam during his travels and became utterly enchanted by it. He was so obsessed that he built his own on the island – the only place where brutal ”Iron Fist” Saltbeard reportedly became almost gentle and bearable.

Today the Soggy Sultan continues that proud (and damp) tradition. The steam is thick, the tiles are ancient, and the atmosphere somehow still carries faint echoes of a bloodthirsty pirate finally relaxing.

It remains the one spot in Buccaneer Bay where even the grumpiest locals tend to leave a little softer – at least until the steam wears off.

This is where creative souls gather to display their work and slowly realize their limitations.

The gound floor serves as a gallery for local paintings, sculptures and other artistic attempts, while the upstairs rooms offer workshops for glassblowing, carving, painting and similar hands-on hobbies.

Here hopeful artists and enthusiastic hobbyist spend their days trying to create something meaningful – often with mixed results. It's a place full of half-finished projects, fragile egos, and the quiet understanding that talent and passion don't always meet.

Still, the dream of becoming a real artist refuses to die here, no matter how many ugly vases and up in the corner.

Leftover Latte is the kind of café where yesterday's pastries meet today's mild existential crisis.

The coffee is strong enough to wake the dead, the sandwiches are usually ”inspired by” whatever didn't sell the day before, and the Wi-Fi is surprisingly reliable for a place that feels permanently stuck in yesterday.

Locals come here to linger over lukewarm lattes, scroll their phones, and pretend they have their lives together. It's not fancy. It's not even particularly good. But it's open, it's familiar, and sometimes that's enough.

Charmingly worn-down old mill turned into a public self-service haven.

Here visitors can wander the gardens and freely pick fresh herbs and vegetables, preserve their haul at the old canning station inside, and then enjoy a truly impressive selection of teas served in beautiful (if slightly chipped) teacups.

No staff, no rules, just the gentle sound of the old mill wheel and the quiet hope that someone else will clean up after them.

Town's oldest pizzeria – and it definitely tastes like it.

This gloriously outdated establishment serves ”authentic” pirate-era pizzas with generous toppings of ancient olives that have been around since buccaneer days.

The dough is always tough, the cheese has a mind of its own, and the sauce is mysteriously sharp... and the oven has a personality problem. Still, it remains strangely popular among locals who enjoy living dangerously.

Come for the nostalgia. Stay because the pizza is so heavy it anchors you to the chair. Leave wondering if scurvy might actually be preferable.
