Okay so she’s been on the ice since she was about 7, always being intrigued with skating 

Jack and her met when The Hughes’ moved to Michigan 

They would both practice at the same time, she would sit and watch him, cheering him on, and then when she would be skating, he’d stay in the rink and watch her practice, sitting on the bench and hitting his stick against the boards cheering 

During Jack’s games she’d even sit in his sweatshirt with the biggest smile cheering him on

She was there for him when he was drafted. She sobbed and hugged him super tight 

Everyone online starts to really question who she is and if they’re dating/starts saying how cute they’d be

Since they were in High School everyone always knew that she was his girl…aside from the two of them. They always denied it “We’re just friends, guys”

When Jack moves to Jersey, she stays in Michigan, but they keep in touch 

They would talk everyday, and before games and competitions they’d always wish each other good luck 

Neither of them would seriously date anyone though, never understanding while it felt oddly weird

Then last Summer, he’s in Michigan as always, and she’s at the rink skating, the rest of the guys come with him to the rink, and they’re all watching her skate. She was practicing a program he hadn’t seen her do before, and while everyone else was looking at her, he was feeling weirdly protective and proud all at once

She ends up winning the 2026 U.S. Figure Skating Championship for her group, and he’s thrilled, calling her later telling her how proud and happy he is, and that’s when his feelings start to come to head and he’s like “oh” but he doesn’t say anything

Their first kiss is a bit…dramatic to say the least

She flies out to see him (it’s the day of the January 6th devs vs isles game) and he’s of course excited to see him but then after the game happens he’s of course upset 

She tries to comfort him and he kind of snaps at her 

“You haven’t been here—we’re not in Michgan anymore” “Stop acting like I’m just some girl Jack–I’m your best friend, cmon” “Maybe I don’t want that anymore” 

They then kind of just stare at each other, and then Jack is instantly pulling her in for a passionate kiss

They’re both gripping each other’s hair and they dont’ want to pull away 

When they finally do, they’re gasping for air 

After that they have a talk and realize they’ve always cared about each other and they’re meant to be 

Once it’s official that they’re both going to be going to Milan, they’re both over the moon thinking how amazing it’ll be to do something like this at the same time

When the Figure skating team gets their medals, Jack watched on his phone, cheering her on

And then, when she went on to skate during the Women’s Individual Free Skate, she does her routine, and it goes perfectly 

And you could tell she was having the time of her life 

And Jack is in the stands watching, and in his head he’s thinking of all the times she would practice when they were younger and how far she’s come

Then she lands her final jump, and she everyone cheers for her, and she’s all smiley and happy.

Even finds Jack in the crowd

Then she gets to the kiss and cry, and she finds out she’s taken first and she’s still so happy, the smile doesn’t leave her face

And Jack is in the crowd still clapping and just cant even find the words, and he knows a few more people have to skate after her, but something in him tells him she’s got this 

And then, when the last person skates and only takes third? And she keeps her spot first??? Jack erupts, he’s so proud, tears even come to his eyes 

When he finally could, he ran down and picked her up, spinning her and kissing her, telling her how proud of her he was

The camera even catches them kissing, with the medal around her neck, and everyone loses it 

And then comes Jack’s time to shine

It’s the morning of the gold medal game, and she’s hugging him, telling him she believes in him, and that she’s so proud the team and him has made it this far

Then it’s time for the game, and she’s in the stands next to Ellen and Jim, and she’s wearing Jack’s Olympic Jersey, she’s nervous as hell, but excited 

When Jack’s teeth end up knocked out, she’s worried, but glad to know he’s okay

Then OT comes, and she’s picking at the skin around her nails, but she knows they’ve come this far and they can still win

And next thing she knows Wrenski is skating down and he passes it to Jack, before Jack shoots the puck and it goes flying into the net, the horn sounds and everyone around her is screaming—and it takes her a second, before she is too

Tears are in her eyes, and she’s hugging Ellen and Jim before jumping up and down cheering and clapping, watching him be engulfed by everyone on the ice 

After a bit, Ellen it taking her hand and getting her closer along with Jim, and Jack and Quinn make there way over 

Ellen and Jim are telling them both how proud they are of them, and she of course tells Quinn she’s proud of him, but not before she takes Jack’s hand smiling and telling him she loves him and she’s proud, and even leans over the railing to kiss him (which send the media into a frenzy, and people online go even more crazy) 

And later, she meets him in the tunnel, and she tells her how she’s never been more proud, and how she loves him, to bring the gold medal to bed later, and she even giggles and him losing his teth—again

The press eats it all up. Two childhood friends winning gold together
