Wasn't an easy decision, wasn't a clear cut decision either, we felt that something sort of needed to give.

You know, I met with Nemo a few weeks ago and man, he's a really great young man. And it was tough because I do think he's a- he was an important draft pick for us, and he's a good player, and a good kid.

I just think that when I talk to him, there was a lot of stuff reported about him asking for a trade, that was not true. I had a really candid conversation with him, and I think that when I heard him, I understood his position, which is just that he just wants a path. He wants a path to develop and a path to grow into the role he forsees for himself.

I couldn't say more about Nico. Probably needs to be said that, let's be honest, if he had decided to just wait a year and become a free agent, could he have gotten considerably more money? Very possibly.

But, from the get-go it was obvious to me that that wasn't even a thought for him. He wants nothing more than to win as a Devil. He takes his captaincy extremely seriously. He wears everything here so personally. He wants to win so bad.
