Abit random but my favourite ibis paint pens as clowns :D
Based on the Harlequinade I believe ?
Thought processe
If you're curious ( which is why I think you checked this post more )
I basically got an Ibis paint X membership and started using another brush over my original reheheh 1.0 ,so I wanted to make a joke post about reheheh 1.0 as a sad lover ( boy?) of sorts but then reheheh sounds like the laugh from scooby doo so I had to draw them

Ok but another thing that's different between the Manager and Kayne I just noticed: Kayne goes out of his way to interact with Arthur more than is strictly necessary for his plans because of his obsession (really, he doesn't need to do HALF the things he does), and constantly calls him by nicknames, acting very familiar around him.
Meanwhile, the Manager basically only interacts with Arthur when necessary, and is professional and almost formal with him at all times (he calls him 'Mr Lester', no nicknames are used AT ALL). He keeps distance between them and the entire thing is strictly 'business-like'. He literally bans Arthur from the Waylay and is content to never see him again after the events of the series are done. My theory is that he 100% knows exactly how Kayne behaves around Arthur and uses this as yet another chance to distance himself from Kayne.
Arthur can't quite believe that it's all over. It was so grand and encompassing that the fact they did it, that they won, has still yet to settle over him. It feels ill fittingâa too tight jacket. He tries to roll the information over again, adjusting the sleeves, but it still doesn't feel quite right.
âCongratulations on a job well done and all that,â The Manager says.
It's absurd. Yet here he is. He is still here. John is still here. The world and the universe and all the other dimensions are still here.
And now the journey's over. No more plotting or planning or fighting. It's finally over. He can rest now.
Arthur laughs. âYou know, it's actually funny, but I kind of wish I'd gotten to know Lillith more.â
He can practically hear the snap of The Manager's neck as John tells him the entity is looking at him with a sudden glint of oddness in his eyes. Arthur can't imagine what for. Nevertheless, he continues on his train of thought.
âShe was there for me at the end, you know. Even when she didn't have to be. I'd already played my part, she didn't need to save me. I suppose you didn't either. So thanks, I guess, to the both of you.â
A genuine smile breaks across his face. His cheeks hurt from the force of it. God, he can't remember the last time he smiled without a single care or worry. It felt freeing.
âThank you for everything,â he smiles sincerely in the direction of The Manager.
It's gone quiet. Not awkward, just quiet. The silence begins to feel tinged along the edges. Like something is off.
Arthur's smile falls. Did something happen? But John would have told him if that was the case.
âManager? Are you alrââ
Arthur, look out! The Manager is raising his arms to grab you! Wait noâhe stopped. HeâŚHis face is twisting into itself. His fingers curl into fists and shake as if trying to control himself.
Arthur can hear heavy breathing, as if it's an effort for The Manager to just keep existing.
The Manager half laughs before stamping it down. âYou're justâman, you're just hhnuurgh aren't you?â More heavy breathing before it slows to a normal pace. âFucking catnip.â
He closes his eyes as he composes himself. He licks his lips and gives a glance down atâuh. He's staring atâŚuhâ
âI'm what, John?â The Manager's voice cuts in, steely thin. Even his anger is different than Kayne's. Tightly controlled so nothing gets loose.
John has gone silent. Arthur has never been more confused. What just happened? He wants to ask but the air feels thin and he's afraid he'll break something if he speaks.
There's some rustling, the sleeve of a suit moving around followed by a soft swish. Arthur has to imagine The Manager running a hand through his hair as John provides no commentary.
âYou're banned from the Waylay by the way.â
âWhat?â Arthur startles. âWhy?â
âYour job is finished, Mr. Lester. No more freebies. No more escaping death. Now you have to deal with the one life just like everyone else.â
Arthur pauses. He supposed that made sense. His part in all this was over after all. He doesn't argue further. Perhaps this was for the best.
He can hear footsteps coming closer, getting louder. Arthur feels a presence stop before him. A light touch makes him tilt his head up. He doesn't flinch, though it does startle him. Rarely did people touch him nowadays without the intent to hurt or manipulate.
âYou sure I can't interest you in a few upgrades before sending you off?â The Manager asks. âMaybe more eyes?â
âWhy would I need more eyes?â
The Manager waves his free hand, or at least Arthur thinks he does. He can hear movement and it was an action very like him. âJohn is a god, ArâMr. Lester. He could see the infinite in his old body. And this one, though striking, is rather limited.â
No thanks. I'm good.
The Manager shrugs. âWell alright then.â
The hand lingers. As if imagining all the things it could do to him. All the things Kayne had already done.
Arthur feels like he's on the precipice of something. Some greater understanding. Lillith seemed to know. John probably did too. Something about how Lillith was so sure Kayne wouldn't be able to resist him. Something about Kayne offering Arthur a peaceful death on the beach with his daughter. Something about Kayne so desperately wanting Arthur to touch the stone and understand him. For someoneâfor Arthur specificallyâto know him. To create a world where they would understand each other.
And for a tiny momentâback when he could picture Kanye's face as if he could actually see it, see the rotten longing on an ancient creature's face, the desire to know and be knownâArthur had genuinely wanted to. He saw that world that Kayne wanted, horrible as it was.
He hears The Manager swallow. A little puff of air blows out, delicately tracing his face in the way his hand did not.
And then he's gone. The warmth, the hand, everything. Arthur almost leans forward. He doesn't.
I feel this. My whole life Iâve been working, trying to earn money, to be independent. I LOVE working, I love earning money. Iâll take any job back then but I weirdly always get jobs related to arts. I had no trouble getting a job, I always thought if you have no money you must be just lazy. Then, lay-off happened. âFuck it, Iâll work in animationâ I said to myself knowing the bad things about it and most people said itâs low-income job. Not totally low-income if thereâs project. Recently thereâs very few, a studio Iâm currently employed to only gives handout to those who trained under them, another one currently have no show, previous studio I wonât go back to because they actually suck (I wonât admit it to them because itâs where I learned a lot but also felt Iâm worthless despite earning money). The reality is Iâm actually âemployedâ to two studios, both have no job for me!
Iâm ranting here, but I also currently feeling the fact that AI will take-over my job and I have nothing else I can do after finding my passion, I donât wanna work on anything else. But currently waiting for the 3d class to be filled (we canât start until the slotâs complete) and I SWEAR this will be my last shot on working on my passion. If I still fail and land no stable job, I just donât know what to actually do. I NEED to move-out. Iâd rather DIE than staying in this place please justâŚ
