i’ve been waiting for this moment….

adragonprince and i were talking about how hiccup started making jack little weasel clothes to wean him off of that ‘wild and free’ feeling he had while being a weasel…because that meant that wearing clothes immediately after shifting back into a human just felt wrong. hiccup actually really enjoys making them, and after a while jack grudgingly began accepting them too. plus they make him look super spiffy and he’ll deny posing in the mirror to his dying day

Hiccup: The head chef, notorious for yelling and insulting the contestants. In actual fact, he is a massive dork and the contestants often struggle not to laugh when he fake yells at them

Astrid: The “bitch”, often hostile to her fellow cooks and determined to win the prize no matter what the cost, making her very unpopular with the audience. They keep her in for as long as possible.

Aster: The “gameplayer,” who sucks up to people and creates conflict in order to avoid elimination. 

Tooth: “The flirt,” who tries to use her good looks to butter up Hiccup and gain his approval.

Dagur: “The bully,” who is just an asshole to everyone 

Fishlegs: “The comic relief,” who can’t cook to save his life and no one understand how the hell he got there 

Pitch: “the broody one,” well, actually, he’s like that in real life too, tbh

Anyways, Jack earns a place on the show and is quick to learn than his fellow contestants are completely different to the characters the producers have made them into. Astrid explains to him how everyone scarcely avoids pissing their pants most of the time because fake fighting with each other is so funny. 

Yesterday I was lucky enough to meet William Joyce and while it took five and a half hours to get there, it was definitely worth it.

When it was nearing my time to get my book signed, he started talking about his Instagram and Twitter accounts, and how much fun he’s having on them. Since she was the next person in line, my mom took this opportunity to point me out and mention how I’d talked to him the night before on Twitter, saying I’d be coming from Mississippi in hopes of meeting him.

He was SO GENUINELY EXCITED, looking utterly shocked and asking in disbelief if that was me, and when I nodded or said yeah (I don’t remember; THIS WAS ALL KIND OF A BLUR TO ME I WAS SO HAPPY), he was like, “WE HAVE TO GET A PICTURE.”

Even the person I’m guessing was his assistant became enthusiastic over the fact that I was there, that I’d traveled that far to be there for the signing. (”OH ARE YOU THE ONE FROM MISSISSIPPI?”) I was blown away by the fact that he’d apparently talked about me. BUT YEAH THEN THEY TOOK THE PICTURE and excuse my haggard appearance because I was exhausted BUT HE WAS JUST. THE SWEETEST. SO EASY TO TALK TO AND BE AROUND.

AND LOOK AT HIS SIGNATURE? THE JACK DOODLE. And the message he had Nightlight give me, haha. slkdjfslkfdj

Seriously, though. I arrived an hour early and got to hear stories from a number of locals about how kind and personable he is, how he’ll continue signing books until every person in line has been tended to, how he’s so dedicated to his hometown. I thought I couldn’t respect him anymore than I already did but WELL.

Plus, hearing him talk about how much he enjoys being on Instagram and Twitter, interacting with fans– guys, please support this man however you can. Follow him on those websites, check out his books, buy them if you can. He puts so much love into these stories and characters - let him know how much you appreciate his work.

Hiccup: For Jamie! I need help explaining sex to Jamie!! I know what sex is Jack!

AU: Hiccup’s neighbor Jamie questions Hiccup ‘where do babies come from’ and Hiccup wimps out decides that he is not the best person to explain that certain subject to a child.

I don’t know yet how to draw ferretlike cuties correctly but … my brother-in-law’s ferrets are so cute when they decide to give your face and ears a good wash, SO HERE YOU GO !!! OK  BYE

Disney Superheroes #02: Swift (aka Rapunzel) The city calls her Swift because of how quick she moves. Swift catches the thieves right in the act and never once fail. Her real name is Rapunzel, an amazing gymnast and a freshmen in college. She discovered her powers at a young age and quickly learn to control/manipulate her hair to pick up objects.

I love ferrets too much and I’m living with two ferrets in the house and THERE IS thIS ADORABLE ERMINE/ wereweasel Hijack thiNG BY @adragonprince and @coldfeetwarmflames too and I’M FULL OF FERRET LOVE so I drew some ferrets using a pic in this post as a reference!!
