WE GOT THE NEW TRAILER FOR SBR AND LOOK AT HOW CUTE JOHNNY LOOKS 🥺🥺🥺

We are gonna ignore how mad Gyro looks in this next frame because look at how soft and fluffy the back of Johnny's hair look. His anime design is just so cat coded. I wanna give his pretty, little head so many pets!! 😩

And anytime there's a Johnny parallel with another Jojo- I'M GONNA BE THERE TO POINT IT OUT!!

Honorable mention is Fat-lentine. Honestly didn't think they would go for him but I am pleasently surprised and can't wait to see him shotgun a can of beer. 😄

I have so much to say. Like there's so much to get into in the trailer but I am currently too tired to do some deep analysis so here's a list of things I'm looking forward to seeing in the next episodes:

- Gyro throwing shade at Mountain Tim

- Johnny practicing with the cork and Gyro ignoring his clingy ass

- Gyro opera joke

- The Boom Boom guy appearing and Gyro going all, "hey hey hey hey, don't do that here- I don't wanna see any blood before I go to sleep"

- Johnny talking to a bug

- The first chumimin 🥺

- Johnny nosing around Gyro's stuff and thinking Gyro's a bandit who robbed some nobleman

- Gyro backstory

- Diego backstory

I watched the episode as soon as it dropped and I had a whole laundry list of gripes and complaints about how much they cut. BUT- Over the course of the next few days, I rewatched it a couple more times and I just can't bring myself to be angry over it anymore. Especially the last 10-15 minutes, they were an absloute masterpiece. The sound design, the animation, the direction choice of everything going silent when Gyro crosses the finish line, it was perfect! And when I think about the sheer amount of story that DavidPro have yet to adapt, I think they're doing their best in trying to bring this part to life.

I was supposed to post this for the New Year's but life and work commitments got in the way so we're all just going to pretend I'm posting this in January. 🫠

Like I'm serious when I say that SBR has the potential to have the best use of CGI in anime EVER! Like you can just barely notice that the horses are CGI in these shots. I can't wait to see the whole race in full!

Also love how expressive the horses are too, it's as if they are reflecting the emotions of their respective riders.

Like Slow Dancer looks like she's out for murder on the race track. Ain't nothing's gonna get in the way of this grandma! ☺️

Silver Bullet is determined, he's locked the fuck in, he's got his eyes on the prize and nothing else!

And lastly my favourite. This unhinged look of madness by Valkyrie. 😭 She's a monster, she's a beast, she's matching her rider's teeth!

Horses have diverse personalities so I will definately be taking this in to account when writing/drawing future SBR canon projects.

Like- they look so good?!?! Especially the horses! Slow Dancer looks so majestic. 🥺 Usually I'm not a big fan of acrylic stands but I'd get these ones for sure.
