If this band from Toronto doesn’t kill you, than I will. Just kidding, I’ll just force you to listen to the game changing new album from PUP, The Dream Is Over. Very seldom is it found that words can’t describe an album, yet there’s always a band that makes it happen. For a band who’s subject matter ranges from a pet chameleon, to old cars, to old towns, PUP comes in like a wrecking ball, destroys everything, and once the dust settles, you realize it’s all a breath of fresh air. Following up to their debut self titled full length, The Dream Is Over picks up right where the foursome left off. With insanely catchy indie punk riffs under scratchy, yet soothing sing a longs, and topped off with the most ridiculous and creative music videos you could ask for. PUP definitely isn’t for everyone, and for those that it’s not for, it’s recommended distancing yourselves from them immediately, grabbing a nice cold one, heading to the next PUP show and losing your voice frantically amongst your new peers. A perfect mix of indie rock and full blown punk, The Dream Is Over is a must have, for 2016. While the world seems to be ending, the dream by far isn’t, and these guys are here to prove it. Don’t miss them on tour this summer. 

I expect the dinner will start out whismsical and fun and then devolve into the type of trash disaster that the bards will sing of for years to come.

The Wonder Years have finished their new album, which, could very well be the most anticipated alternative album of the year. 

All that being said, I fell for their latest gimmick, Sriracha HOT Stout Beer. I saw it on the shelf and had a little chuckle, but a week later my brother Dan actually brought a bottle home. I’m always open to new things, so I gave it a taste. It’s hot. It’s sriracha flavored. It’s actually not terrible. I don’t often go for spicy beers, but this wasn’t bad. The roasty malts balanced the building heat of the sauce nicely. I could never drink a bottle of it, but it made a nice little appetizer and conversation starter.
