Joe's W0rld

We go through so many of these in our lifetime, some of us are lucky to enough to find some that last a lifetime, and some are unfortunate enough to go through them like this weeks laundry. I never really had much of a "Best Friend", maybe like a childhood version of it, where you hang out with the same kid all the time because they live close. However nowadays, I find myself hanging out with different friends for different reasons. I have some friends I hang out with whenever I need my GEEK OUT fix, so we play video games, watch Batman and talk about anything without feeling stupid, buuuut when it comes to more serious topics and responsibility, they're absent. Then I have friends I hang out with because we have the same moral values, ya know, the whole get a good job so you can have a happy family, having a realistic goal that can be easily achieved, but these guys are afraid to think outside the box or to talk about anything that isn't real, afraid that if they don't live life by the book, they'll never make it. I think that's why I've never really had a "best friend', because I'm somewhere in between those two worlds. I can only be exposed to one or the other in small doses, so I always bounce back and forth, hmmm... maybe that's why I'm so indecisive.. Hurray for self realizations woooooo  Later days 

I've been staying up for nights, just wondering

that when it comes to education if others might be struggling

They say to hit the books or else you'll hit the streets

Where you'll be fighting for your life just barely making ends meet

But as a kid

They made me sit outside of class

because instead of trying to get good grades, I tried to get a laugh

But he's the truth of me

I never cared much for style

I'd go through a thousand rainy days to make  stranger crack a smile

Pen and paper

Always served to be a challenge

Until I started writing lyrically about a chemical imbalance

cause it's the truth in me

lost in the depths  of my own world

Where I hope to find a few friends or even a pretty girl. 

I enjoy writing, usually comes out in a lyrical/poetic fashion, which I do use to compose music, (at least I attempt to) so you might see some random stuff here and there. Kind of a weird thing to talk about, just cause I’m a duuude, and where I’m from, that kind of thing is kind of looked at as a joke, especially if you're guy. For some reason showing any kind of compassion as a male around here is looked at as a form of weakness, silly if you ask this guy. Can’t blame them though, like I mentioned before I grew up in a small town, so every one try’s pretty hard to be normal, or goes out of their way to be different so that they can say they’re “unique”. I tried pretty hard to be normal for quite a while, but then I stopped, a lot of people say that i’ve changed, I didn’t change though…I just got tired of pretending.
