You really hit the nail on the head with your response, she is obsessed with the ideas and narratives she’s created around Joe. There is no doubt that Joe was more likely than not honest with her from the jump, he wants to be single and unattached right now. And I’d bet a lot of money on the fact she most likely thought she could “change him” and “change his mind”. We all know that if a guy just wants to fuck that’s all he’ll do, but in her warped sense of reality she fell for all the ideas and everything she created. It’s really sad that she has no self respect or self confidence to see what this has always been. I do hope she can find that someday.

Her and Joe were never more than a quick fuck that people weren’t supposed to find out about. The break in fucked that up. And she has done everything she can to grasp onto that. Yes I do think she saw the opportunity to get her name out and milk the PR as much as possible, but the real fact is she has been CLINGING onto the ideas she’s created in her head. My educated guess is that at the beginning Joe was actually kind and respectful to her to some extent and actually spoke to her and expressed normal interest and she took the crumbs and ran with it. This girl needs serious serious therapy.

i get your point. i think Joe was just looking for something casual and she immediately saw an opening. It didn’t work out, but she needs to respect herself and stop dragging herself after him.
