Surprise visit

Chuckling, “Yo’ had me at spicy. Lead t’e way, Laura.” He opened the door for her, still smiling to himself. It was not often that he found a way to hang out with her. “I t’ink my place ‘as too much space, but I don’ wanna give it up. It’s already paid for so it’s mine for a w’ile.” His apartment was like four bedroom’s and a multitude of other things. “’ts been a w’ile since I had Asian food, so ‘m lookin’ forward to t’is outing.”

She politely nodded her thanks to him for holding the door as she walked out. Laura waited for him to walk out before locking the door, speaking as she did so “I am glad. I have not eaten there in a while myself.” She turned back round, gesturing to an alley way in front of them “This way.” She often traveled by roof top, it was quicker, but she figured Remy wouldn’t appreciate it. 

He watched as she locked her door to her apartment, and then turned to lead them down an alley, which he assumed would take them close to the Asian place that they were going to eat. “Oui.” Was his one word reply, he didn’t feel the need to say more, they had a comfortable silence rolling between them, and he was fine with that. He almost assumed she was too, in a way, okay with the silence as well.

Surprise visit

He sat the bag down near the door and then rubbed his arm a little, the bag was a little on the heavy side, not that it was a problem, he was decent in strength. He took in the tiny apartment and said, “Nice place yo’ got ‘ere, it is a bit on the small side, but I don’ really see yo’ ‘aving a big place. Also t’at was a really short shower, shorter t’an one I take.” He replied to her once she was near before adding, “Don’ really know, ‘m open to anythin’ yo’ should pick t’e place.”

“I do not require much space,” Laura replied, pulling her shoes back on “I did not see a point in lingering.” She stood considering a moment “There is a decent Asian restaurant four blocks from here. They have spicy food.” She added the last part with the smallest hint of a smile. She’d grown to enjoy spicy foods since she had such bland fare at the facility. Anna Marie and Remy were some of the few people who could take the amount of heat she liked.
