1) SM turned down two major film roles that were offered specifically for Seohyun by production: Architecture 101 and Train to Busan. Not any film roles but movies that became culturally significant blockbusters. Missing out once is already unbelievable but twice is heartbreaking. This is no way to discredit those who got the roles or achieved success from them or to even suggest . Soehyun would have benefited the same. Put yourself in her shoes? She said they did not even consult her before axing and she was sad even years later. 

2) Her current drama “Bad Thief Good Thief” received ZERO promotions from SM. They never even announced she was casted or acknowledged it in any way. Seohyun has not done a single solo press interview for this drama while every other actor and character has, including when she juggled one 50 episode drama at the same time as the 10th anniversary comeback and even wrote the title song. 

3) Seohyun was never included in SM’s actors index and her schedule was always messed up on the official calendar. Often they would not even add her activities. 

4) Also from Seohyun- SM didn’t want her to expand her vocal range or sing outside her role. They told her to stick to one way of singing and didn’t help her improve her technique so she had to pursue that on her own through musicals. 

5) There were several unreported acting and musical projects she was denied. Kyuhyun of Super Junior said his musical debut was delayed several years because they did not want her kissing. On DC Drama were rumored castings in supporting roles of a number of big-name dramas that never panned though. She has a wide circle of A-listing acting connections but wasn’t getting casted on anything. 

6) All her musicals were achieved through her own initiative. Gone With The Wind and Mamma Mia specifically were casted by foreign producers that held blind auditions. Both had a box office success and Mamma Mia had the biggest box office during Seohyun’s season in its entire 12 years since debuting in Korea. 

7) Seohyun had a very few solo appearances on broadcast after WGM in 2010. She had the least variety appearances of any members in the past 7 years until this year. And funny enough, each time she appeared on a variety show, ratings were good. She got great feedback and she topped Naver TV every time. Heechul said on Knowing Brothers that SM executives didn’t want Seohyun on variety shows and stopped her. 

8) She has an entire two OSTs in 10 years, both which were years and years ago. Least of all vocal line members. Some dance line members have more OSTs and digital releases than her. No Station solo either. 

9) Despite her fairly good public recognition, she has the least solo CF’s, few photoshoots and was never sent to overseas events. 

10) Terribly promoted solo. SM denied the solo then released her teasers a week later so fans could hardly prepare. She promoted during the slowest week of the year and it was also cut in half after a week for Lunar New Year. No expensive overseas production, no appearance on sketchbook, few interviews and photoshoots.
