The brilliant violet and green glow of the Aurora Australis dancing over the mosaic tiles of the Tessellated Pavement on Eaglehawk Neck. This incredible natural display is caused by the light released by electrically charged particles from the sun colliding with the earth’s upper atmosphere. Our Aurora chasing community has a constant eye on our Southern skies in the hopes of catching a glimpse of these magical light shows and @philkitt was especially lucky to capture this one over this unique Tassie icon.
