a/n ｡*ﾟ+ hai :> this is my first time doing a SFW alphabet, i'm planning on doing it with a bunch of other re characters so i'll make a masterlist later on, this also might be terribly wrote.
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
- In a romantic relationship, I find it hard to imagine Jill's a massive fan on PDA (publix displays of affection.) She's prefers when it's just the two of you, in the comfort of your own (or shares) home.
- That doesn't mean she won't do subtle displays in public. Holding hands occupied by hand squeezes every so often. Sometimes, she'll peck you on the cheek if you're lucky.
-But yeah, don't expect any romantic, public gestures and big kisses and hugs when out of the house. Although, if she's come back from a mission and you meet her at the helipad/airport/whatever, then (depending on how long the mission was) she will greet you with a hug and a small kiss on the lips.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
- It's not an amazing friendship. Jill has a lot of trauma, which gave her a LOT of trust issues and commitment issues. For a while, it seemed as if she was scared to actually get close to you, in case you ended up becoming in danger due to her job. She doesn't mean any harm by this, it's because she cares so much for you.
- She gives me the 'i'm either super late or super early' type of vibe, like if you planned to meet at 7p.m. expect her to be there at either 7:30 (onwards) or 6p.m. there is no in between.
- Again, linking back to my first point, she probably isn't all for affection in public. Much prefers it if you're in private like movie nights, etc. but you never know. She night gives you a nudge to the side playfully (or annoyingly) from time to time.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
- It takes time, especially if you get together close to the events after/during Raccoon City. As long as you give her time, she'll easily warm up to the idea of being embraced/embracing again.
- When she does warm up and does start cuddling with you, it is so worth the wait! She prefers the position of either your head on her chest. That way, she can run her fingers through your hair much easier. Or, you sat in front of her between her legs, back to her chest, and her chin on your head.
- Cuddles are a private thing, something that, to Jill, is seen as a reward. Coming home after a long day at either S.T.A.R.S or the BSAA and being able to soak up in your warmth in your shared bed or the living room, watching a movie.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
- 100% helps you around the house. On days off (if the poor girl gets any atp), she'll help you cook and clean, and with groceries, the list goes on.
- Settling down is something she never, not once thought of before you. As time went on and it seemed as if you weren't going anywhere, she'd start thinking about marriage. Children crossed her mind a few times. She's a definite boy mum, by the way.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
- Oh my gosh, how she'd hate it! It would tear her apart limb by limb, the last thing she ever wanted to do. The only reason I can possible think of as to why she'd end things is for your safety.
- Her job isn't the safest, and most close friends and partners would be in immediate danger if the 'enemy' were to find out about them.
- Jill strikes me as the type to break up suddenly, for example, the pair of you could be nustled on the couch, basking in eachother's presense and she'll just mumble: 'I think we should break up.'
- But you best believe that the second the enemy is defeated and you are safe from any possible danger, for now, she will come back to you. Apologising at your door profusely, maybe even a few tears if you're stubborn enough.
- But then again, I can see her breaking up with you permanently, no running back to you. It's all for your safety. Of course, she still loves you extremely, but she'd hate being with you if it meant being in a comstamt danger. If this were to be the case, she'd bury herself deeper into her work in the hope of force you away from her mind, even just for a small time.
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
- Overall, Jill is extremely committed to a s/o. She wants to spend the rest of her life with you and you her. But there is always that lingering fear of you getting in danger because of her job, and sometimes it keeps her up at night. That thought alone makes her push you away at points, not that she wants to, but she convinces herself it's for the best.
- The build-up to marriage is slow, Jill wants to take her time with it. It's a lot bigger than anything else. She wants you to feel ready, not pressured, and whether that takes years or decades, she doesn't mind. But eventually, she'd idealy want marriage to happen between the five year mark or above. It's a slow process but it's 100% worth it in the end.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
- In a relationship, she is, no doubt, gentle. She touches you gently, hugs you gently (depending on the situation), and kisses you gently. Overall, she is a very gentle person around you.
- Emotionally, she tends to struggle more with it. Sometimes, she doesn't know how to comfort you when you're upset, so she'll decide on sitting beside you, a silent way of telling you that she's here and that she isn't going anywhere. Give the girl a break. She never even processes her emotions. It's hard for her to know what to do, but she gets the hang of it, eventually.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
- Like i said above, her hugs are gentle and full of love and affection. Most of the time, she just holds you in her arms and peppers your forehead/top of your head(hair) in kisses.
- That's not to say she won't let her emotions get the better of her, if you meet her at the airport/helipad etc. She will be running over to you and squeezing you to death. Her eyes snap shut, and her head buried in your hair.
- Hugs with Jill are like heaven itself, something you'd never want to pass up on.
- She's not someone who relies on hugs and cuddles every second. The worst she acts is when she's just coming home from an over the seas mission and craving your touch.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
- She's a little hesitant to say it first, but it's only because she's scared of messing it all up.
- Jill ended up saying, 'I love you' in the heat of the moment. It happened when she saw you cooking her dinner one day, absolutely in love with the sight. She wrapped her arms around you and mumbled those three words, taking you off guard completely.
- Thinking back on it, Jill was quite happy she did it like that and not some big, well thought out plan like others. She thought it was quite romantic already, being in the comfort of your shared home.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
- If Jill gets jealous, it's either incredibly hard to see or incredibly easy.
- Jill trusts you, your whole relationship is based and relying on trust and loyalty to one another. She knows you wouldn't cheat on her, but that doesn't exactly help when some man/woman is flirting and eyeing you up from across the bar.
- Two ways to go about this, and one of them consists of her grabbing your hand, wrapping an arm around your waist, or planting a soft kiss on your cheek. This one isn't as easy to pick up on, as you think it's just a random, surprising display of affection in public.
- BUT. The other way to go about her jealousy is her grabbing your chin and smashing her lips onto yours. It takes you by surprise, by a LOT. Jill's not a very affectionate person in public, as she has a reputation to uphold, and she'd rather share her love for you (physically) in private, without gawking eyes. The action makes you aware of her jealousy, which normally leads to a sly smirk from you and returning to kiss.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
- Her kisses are gentle, loving, and could quite literally make anyone melt. The way she holds your chin, waist, or hips with such tender hands but can sometimes hold a tight grip if desperate.
- Like I've said, too many times before, Jill prefers kissing you in private. It isn't because she doesn't love you and doesn't want to show everyone her love. It's just because she hates how anxious she grows. It may be insane, but kissing in public always makes her hands grow clammy and heartrate spike.
- If you kiss her in public, not ever will she pull away, she'll simply kiss you back and pull away with tinted cheeks.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
- Jill says she's terrible with children, but the second she sees one in danger/lost, etc, she's all protective and so sweet. She'll help the poor little one find their parents and then smile so wide when the kid hugs her and waves her goodbye.
- She has such a soft spot for them. It's something not a lot of people take into consideration. It is 100% the sweetest thing you'll ever see. However, babies are a different story.
- Jill genuinely does not know how to act around a small baby. She feels so awkward even holding one! Her face of distress is incredibly amusing. You can't help but laugh at it.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
- Mornings with Jill, despite how rushed they are, are surprisingly soothing. She'll try not to wake you, but if you happen to be crushing her in your sleep, she has no choice but to shake you awake.
- Nine times out of ten, you will be whining for her to stay. The BSAA have cray zee wake-up times, no lie. Jill will find this amusing, no doubt, she will kiss your forehead and whisper a soft goodbye, promising to be home at a certain time.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
- Nights are a lot slower and calmer. Jill is finally able to just relax in the comfort of her own home with you. She just can't wait to dive into her warm bed with you by her side.
- If you have a certain skincare routine, she'll stand at the bathroom door and watch you with a soft, affectionate smile on her face. Sometimes, she'll come up from behind and wrap her arms around your waist. Her chin sat in your shoulder.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
- It takes a while, especially if you don't work with her. She doesn't want to get so vunerable so early on, give her time and she will tell you.
- I'd say it's around the six-seven month mark when she starts to open up a little more and you can finally know her on the deepest level.
- Jill doesn't care if you say anything or not. It just feels good to finally tell the person she loves! Although she wouldn't exactly pull away from a hug, etc.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
- Jill's patient with you, but that doesn't mean she doesn't get annoyed sometimes. It'd have to take someone really big for her to actually vocalise her anger at you.
- But, of course, you might have to watch yourself if she just came back from a hard mission. She can get a little snappy, but she never really means to. It's just a lot of pent-up stress and exhaustion. Jill apologises profusely after snapping at you.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
- Jill's not got super memory. She does forget a few things. After all, the woman's got a super intense job that leaves her stressed, tired, and more.
- But, Jill would never forget something that was important to you, or just something you like as a whole. She may forget small, tiny details, but she doesn't forget the main idea. Say, for example, if you're an avid reader and enjoy reading, she'll never forget your favourite genre or author... but she may forget your favourite book or characters, etc.
R = Remember (What is their favourite moment in your relationship?)
- Jill's favourite moment was meeting you. Seeing your beauty for the first time, the same beauty that still stumps her to this day. No matter where you met, how you met, it still means as much to her as anything.
- Jill has too many favourite memories with you, but if the pair of you ever got married, then that'd be a close second. Seeing you in that outfit, with your gorgeous smile and body shaking with excitement. Just thinking about it makes her feel all flustered and happy.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
- Jill's got a natural protective side. She's lost a fair few people that meant something to her or almost lost them. The last thing she wants is to lose you too.
- If you're out at a bar or club, she will generally keep a watchful eye on you. Jill just wants you to be safe, and if she sees someone getting a little too close or making you uncomfortable, or even laying hands on you in hopes of looking for a fight. Well, best believe she is right beside you in a minute, sending the person a glare.
- I don't really think Jill needs to be protected, but it would make her feel really smug on the inside if you did. Under the same example, if a man tried fighting her or making Jill uncomfortable, and you happen to step in and protect her, a really, really big smirk takes over her face.
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
- Jill's the type of girl to try but not overdue it, valentines Day consists of flowers and chocolates, quite a stereotypical gift.
- Meanwhile, birthdays and Christmas will involve a lot more effort: For example, her ears will pick up on your subtle conversations and hints at gifts you want.
- In all honesty, dates between you and Jill rarely leave the comfort of your bed or couch, watching movies and a few snacks. She doesn't seem like the type to book big fancy reservations at a new restaurant that opened up downtown.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
- Picking the skin around her fingernails, they're all dirty and skin peeling off and large red stains from where she tore too much it started to prickle blood.
- Another bad habit is overworking, yet unlike her coworkers (chris), she knows when enough is enough, but that doesn't mean she stops. Ever since (RE5) being taken over/possessed, she feels an extreme amount of guilt and desire to prove herself. This leads to hours of training, practising aim, and working on her mental strength.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
- Jill's littered in scars, on her back, on her upper arm, almost everywhere. Her job made her sacrifice her soft, smooth skin for rough, ugly scars. That is the only feature she dislikes. Apart from that, she is relatively happy with her looks.
- If you happen to find her scars beautiful or whatever, she'll get this stupid, sheepish smile on her face, and the tips of her ears would turn pink. It's even worse if you kiss them because she will just melt in your presence. Kissing her rough scars on her back sends her in a dizzy, wondering how she managed to snag someone so lucky and caring.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
- Yes. After the events of Raccoon City, she felt lost, completely alone, and depressed. Whether you met during or after the Raccoon City incident, you brought a sense of humanity back to her slowly.
- On missions, she doesn't have the time to think about you, as mean as it sounds, it's the truth. She's running and fighting for her life, sweat dripping from her forehead.
- That doesn't mean she doesn't love you! When in the break room or typing up reports, you'll cross her mind occasionally and she'll catch herself smiling at her computer, looking like a fool to any passers by.
X = Xtra (a random headcanon for them)
- Hear me out on this, Jill has a massive CD/DVD collection. Instead of netflix or disney+, she'll simply throw DVDs at you and ask you to take your pick. And best believe that she has everything, you're favourite movie? She has it.
- As for CDs, she'll have one of those cars that you can insert CDs into, and that's all she'll use. Not once has that girl used the radio (except for if you ask her) and she doesn't plan on using it anytime soon either.
- She just strikes me as the type, in her teenage years, to spend almost all her pocket money in BlockBusters. It gets to a point that she knew the workers on a friendly basis.
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
- This took me a while, but for some odd reason, Jill doesn't like tomatoes. It makes so much sense to me, I don't know if it does to anyone else, but to me, it seems perfect. If a salad has tomatoes in it, best believe she's either 1) picking them out or, 2) not buying/ordering the salad.
- Meanwhile, in a partner, I don't think she has anything specific that she doesn't want. The only possible answer I can think of is someone who doesn't worry a lot. I know that sounds insane but going off her whole personality in Death Island, it seems fitting. Of course, she's glad you love her so much and that you care, but she really doesn't need arguments starting because you're too worried. It angers her sometimes, makes her feel a sense of weakness, makes her feel as if you see her as weak.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)
- 100% is she the type to fall asleep slowly, she can't physically go to sleep straight away. Due to everything she'd been through, she needs to know you're asleep first. It's just a bad habit of hers.
- If she'd been away abroad on a mission, and you happen to have a realtively long skincare routine or shower, there's a 50% chance that she might have fallen asleep without you.
- Such a light sleeper, you shifted in the bed to get comfy, she's awake. You dropped your phone on your face, and she's awake. Small movements and sounds wake her so easily it almost scares you.
