Garlic-Parmesan Browned Butter Mashed Potatoes are a rich and tasty side dish that takes regular mashed potatoes to a whole new level. Brown butter's rich, nutty flavor and Parmesan cheese's salty goodness come together to make a creamy potato dish that you can't stop eating.
Ingredients: 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and diced. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 cup unsalted butter. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/2 cup whole milk. Salt and pepper to taste. Chopped fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Place the diced potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Cook until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes. While the potatoes are cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant and golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside. Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash them using a potato masher or a hand mixer until smooth and creamy. Pour the garlic-infused browned butter over the mashed potatoes and mix well. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to mix until it's fully incorporated. Gradually add the whole milk while continuing to mash and mix until you achieve your desired creamy consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the Garlic-Parmesan Browned Butter Mashed Potatoes to a serving dish, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve hot.
