Explanation: On August 12th, 2026, the Moon totally eclipsed the Sun and cast its shadow across Siberia, Greenland, Iceland, Spain, and Portugal. Today’s image features two total solar eclipses viewed from Zaragoza, Spain, one over the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar and the other reflecting in the Ebro River. For a few moments, Spain saw its first major total solar eclipse since 1905. Those witnessing totality may experience a chill in the air, the quieting of birds, the confused chirps of insects, and the shared awe of many. It’s the corona’s time to shine as the Sun’s bright disk is blocked by the Moon. Among other reasons to study eclipses, they help scientists understand why the corona is millions of degrees hotter than the Sun’s surface. Enthusiastic citizens can contribute to these studies by recording how wildlife responds, imaging the corona, and monitoring air temperature and clouds.

Hey guys! I decided because of the general interest surrounding you guys have had about the subject lately with how long season 6 took to air, I’d post the airing timelines of each season that I originally had been keeping track of in a very messy note in my notes app (included under the cut lol)! I just think it’s a neat piece of history and outside of the data I already have, having a post keeping track would also be fun in the long run for future seasons! Lmk if you guys want any stats to be added to this but yeah, here we go!

Season 1

Premiered: September 1st 2015 via EBS1 (South Korea)

Ended: March 19th 2016 via Télé-Quebec (Canada)

Total Airing Time from Premiere to End: 6 months and 18 days

Total time Between End of Last Season and End of this Season: N/A

Season 2

Premiered: October 21st 2017 via Disney Channel Spain*

Ended: Nov 3rd 2018 via RTS (Switzerland)

Total Airing Time from Premiere to End: 1 year and 13 days

Total time Between End of Last Season and End of this Season: 2 years, 7 months, and 15 days

*Technicallyyyyyy you could say this season started in Dec 2016 with the premiere of “Santa Claws”, but I don’t think a single soul on this planet considers that the season 2 premiere even if it is technically a part of the season, seeing as it’s a Christmas Special that has like nothing to do with anything else. Very similar to the position ‘Action’ serves in season 5.

Season 3

* Technically, you could say that this season ended September 10th 2023 when “Action” aired, seeing as that is counted as the 27th episode of this season. However, Action is less of an ‘official’ episode and more of an extended PSA , and it’s outside of the usual 26 episode count that every other season has, so I’m not going to be counting it as the end. I will however be measuring it as the latest point of this season to go off of when measuring the time between the end of this season and the end of season 6, so if the number looks off that’s why lol.

Season 6

Premiered: Jan 24th 2025 via Gloob (Brasil)

Ended: August 8th 2026 via Disney Channel USA

Total Airing Time from Premiere to End: 1 year, 6 months, and 15 days
