Yep, I'm matching every website as closely as I can! Most big sites use proprietary fonts, so I find something that's likely to work on most browsers that looks close enough (thank you Wikipedia list of Core Fonts on the Web). Having a similar font goes a long way to making it look like the real thing

CNN is easy

I had to make a huge compromise with The Onion. I decided the tallness of the font was more iconic than the serif style.

The workskin is more like a dozen different ones in one very big trenchcoat (it has uh, 305 selectors and counting. More than 1000 properties). I'm learning as I go, so it's probably not as efficient as it could be.

My cowriter and I are working on a social media fic with an unusual framing... It's in-universe hosted on the lovechild of the Internet Archive and the Library of Congress, because internet history is worth preserving too. It's the modern form of a museum displaying old letters.

It's been so much fun figuring out CSS/HTML formatting to get everything working on Ao3, and I'm really excited to share the rest soon!I even went through all the effort of keeping it compatible with Reversi so that dark-mode lovers don't have to get flashbanged:

It's even slightly interactive, to feel like you're really scrolling through a government website trying to get what you need for a research project. I love research a lot... dunno if that actually appeals to anyone else.

As an exercise of conveying characterisation more through body language and shape rather than clothes or colours, I drew some of the Yiga characters :)
