No More Wasted Words

Watching The Golden Bachelor is all fun and games until my husband is gone for work and the ladies on the show start saying things like “I thought I would get to spend my whole life with my husband and then he was gone” and it makes me think about the fact that one of us (me and my husband) is going to die first and then I get sad.

This week I had to explain to my husband that when we move and we’re finally living in the same house full time (military life is weird) that I have a full on shrine to Song Joong Ki just chilling in my closet like fucking Helga from Hey Arnold. Like, the military is gonna have to move that across the ocean for me. Tax dollars will pay to move my shrine to a Korean actor all the way to Hawaii. And then my husband, who’s arriving first, is probably going to have to unpack it. So I was trying to explain this to him without sounding like a crazy person. And my sweet, beautiful husband said to me, “That’s fine. We’ll have extra rooms. We can have a KPop themed room.” Like, what did I even do to deserve this man?

Finally got around to watching the 2020 version of Emma and omg why did I wait so long?! I have a hard time picking my favorite Jane Austen book but Emma is up there and this movie is exactly how it’s supposed to be portrayed. Anya Taylor-Joy was cast perfectly and whole movie was perfectly done. The humor, the ridiculous hijinks, Bill Nighy as Mr. Woodhouse, the mutual pining, the jealousy, the obligatory hand scenes, the Box Hill scene being perfection👌, Tanya Reynolds as Mrs. Elton, Johnny Flynn’s naked ass. 10/10. Now I want to reread Emma.
