Amy glanced at the houses currently being refurbished from her position on a park bench, a noticeable smile lifting the corners of her mouth. "Y'know, I've been so wary of the last few places we've holed up in. But Alexandria feels different. I think this might be the one."
âYeah? Well,â he shrugged, looking around too after she'd mentioned it. âIf youâre cool with it, yo, y'know I am too.â Jesse smiled back at her, feeling lighter than he had in years, and this time, it wasnât because of drugs. But Jesse was certainly going to try and enjoy it before karma caught up with him.
