they really took the tension between modernity and tradition to the limits in a way that the first movie kinda let up on

if Ryan Coogler was not married, I would put a ring on it because his story telling has evoked so much conversation. Its so intentional and rich. Rewrote the Bechdel test while balancing the mourning of a man that meant a lot to many. 

Did not give us women in power, women with emotion, and women at odds with each other in a cheap or meaningless way. It all held so much weight.

I don’t think this many black women have been a film, let alone a marvel film, that was not a romantic comedy or drama, and it makes my heart so warm.

Honestly, I think ppl think folks say BP are the best marvel films because of representation but the storytelling and emotional pay off is like unparalleled in the universe atp

I am very excited about Riri Williams and wonder if the MCU is going to try some type of young Avengers

All of the women from Wakanda felt realer and fuller than they had in the first film. Namora reminded me a bit of early black widow and how they did her when introduced but I think that will be better in time.

This movie had a good portion of dialogue in subtitles and I love it.
