AFTER GOLDEN LEAF (thesis exhibition)

As some of you may know, I’ve been working on a graduate degree in the @mfaeda program at Duke for the last 18 months. Please come see what I’ve been up to and help me celebrate the culmination of this first stage of the project.

AFTER GOLDEN LEAF explores the changing landscape of North Carolina as it attempts to accommodate the realities of the post-tobacco economy. The photographs investigate the history of tobacco farming as well as the future of the communities it has built. AFTER GOLDEN LEAF is the story of tobacco, but also of a country as its domestic industry searches for a new foothold in a changing world.

The exhibition will be on view from March 29- April 20, 2018 @spectrearts located at 1004 Morning Glory Avenue in Durham.
