Redemptive Purpose

I Post pictures of myself at my highest weight- very few comments/likes

Post pictures when I’ve lost weight- many many comments/likes (compliments,way to go, etc)

Maybe I wouldn’t have such a screwed up mentality about my self image if encouragement/positive comments happened at any size when posting on social media. Basically people are just affirming what I already knew , which is I’m only pretty when I’m thinner.

I get we just glow and radiate when we are healthier- of course people are drawn to that- but if you don’t know then I have no way to express the mental anguish some people experience when it comes to perception of beauty and self. I am semi-comfortable most days. But my insecurities won’t allow me to put more than a few pictures of myself online- in my thinner or heavier phases.
