I feel like a 12-year-old on LiveJournal posting this type of stuff. But I guess I need some sort of release, right? This gif describes me and friendships lately.Ā

I was scrolling through Google when I happened across a Pinterest upload of my favorite Luigiās Mansion: Dark Moon art. Despite it being one of my favorite official Luigi-related artworks, Luigiās vivid colors against such a cold and gloomy atmospheric color set me off a bit. I decided to take the image and tweak Luigiās colors a bit, and I think it came out pretty good!

Choose from golden topaz, citrine, yellow lab sapphire, or moissanite. Geeks, lovers of pop culture, and fans of a certain book series will be fans of this design.
āRebelā Acrylic and gouache on Rives BFK mounted on wood panel 9ā³ x 12ā³ Hereās my piece inspired by Princess Leia for Gallery 1988ās Star Wars: Art Awakens gallery show and charity auction, a collaboration between Gallery 1988, Disney, LucasFilm, and Bad Robot. Pieces in the show will be auctioned off for charity on eBay on Friday, November 13th. If youāre in Los Angeles, you can see the artwork in person on Saturday and Sunday (November 14th and 15th) from 11amā10pm at Gallery 1988 (West). Find out more info hereĀ and support a good cause!
Almost everything in this piece is a reference from the original Star Wars trilogy: the symbols of the Rebel Alliance and the Empire, band patches for Max Rebo Band and the Mos Eisley Cantina band, āRebel scum,ā tattoos of Alderaan and Leiaās blaster, modified X-wing pilot gloves, the vest Leia wore on Hoth, her pants from Endor, the chain she used to strangle Jabba, and of course her hair from A New Hope. If you couldnāt tell, I had a lot of fun with this!
āLet me say that I donāt give two flying fucks about politics⦠And even if I did, my voice wouldnāt matter, probably in both parties because of me being what I am, a mutant Turtle who lives in the sewer. I wouldnāt have a voice, it wouldnāt be heard, because to a lot of people⦠Me and my brothers wouldnāt be considered in having rights. But you people⦠have a voice, and you people have rights. Fight for them. Stand for what you believe.ā
āI almost wish it was Saki being moved to power, because at least me and my brothers wouldāve taken action to bring comfort to everyone all over.. Maybe in some other universe, it did happen and we stopped Shredder. But this is a fight me and my brothers canāt take⦠This is YOUR fight. How you fight this fight, is all on you⦠But donāt stop. Keep fighting.ā

Y'all disappointed and hurt Captain America what have you done
Hey Jenny I was wondering if you had any advice on how to deal with uncertainty when it comes to your own future? I recently graduated university this past May with a BA in criminology but I'm having trouble finding a job in my field and I'm contemplating going back to follow my true passion of film and media. Would you have any pearls of wisdom that might calm my anxiety surrounding all this uncertainty?
Hey there! Well, this is what Iāve been told my entire life. And what other industry professionals tell others when it comes to giving this sort of advice. If there is absolutely ANYTHING that you can do as a career that isnāt film (or the arts in general) and be happy....do that. BUT if you absolutely cannot imagine a life without creating art in some way, shape or form... in your case film and media... then stick to it. This career is for those who are willing to go above and beyond. To work harder than everyone in the room. Because if you donāt- you will not succeed. This is the kind of career you need to put overtime hours into. Now, Iām not sure that this is something that will calm your anxiety. But itās something you need to hear. What I had to hear and learn for myself. And what I tell many others. Another thing is patience. It is the key. Iāve seen so many people come and go in this career and in Los Angeles... and give up far too quickly simply because they didnāt attain an industry job as quickly as theyād like. It just doesnāt work that way. Some people find work in weeks. Others in years. The best advice I can give is that if you are going to go the film/media route, you absolutely must pave a path for yourself. We live in a day and age where employers want to see self-starters, entrepreneurs, go-getters. They want to see that you have short films, web series, YouTube videos, sketches, scripts, etc. under your belt. They want to see that you are hungry and are hustling. If not, the competition will devour you. You need to want this badly enough. Because itās not easy. But I can tell you this-- itās damn worth it.Ā
