Workout from earlier this week- it was raining and I couldnāt get out of the house because hubby was busy so I did these youtube videos. I feel like my dancing is significantly worse than it used to be but I got a sweat in and I had fun.
Fun fact: 1989 is my favorite Taylor Swift album so I had to do that workout!
Weāre staying with my in-laws for a few days due to some issues with our house and I had to escape to the gym even though it was a 30 minute drive away becauseā¦ I needed to. Needed to do some heavy work so pulled back in Pendlay Rows into my workout- the clank setting them down is pretty satisfying. I made this up as I went but really liked it- I think itās time to come up with a new split for July/August as Iāve been on the current one for about 2 months.
Worked out back to back because I knew I wouldnāt be able to later in the week. My legs were still a little sore from the week before so I wanted to focus more on hitting upper body hard.
My longest run ever and it felt great! Look at how beautiful the sky was! I ran for 2 miles straight and then did walk/run intervals for the other 2 miles. I was pumped because my breathing felt in control pretty much the whole time which is where I struggle.
Yāall weāve pretty much decided we have to move too because our basement almost flooded again and Iāve been rage cleaning my house this weekend. Turns out the thought of having to keep your house clean for showings is the best motivator to organize and get rid of things.

First workout back in a week since we had terrible storms and flooding for 3 days and then hubby was out of town. Itās also stupid hot where I am (it feels like youāre inside an easy bake oven when you step outside).

Got a stitch fix box. Most of it was a dud but I liked this dress. My cousin is getting married at the end of July outside and the dress code is ??? (probably semi-formal but they didnāt specify) and I think this would be a good fit for it.
My in-laws took the kids for the night. I wanted to go for a run last night but hubby and I decided to take the opportunity and go to a date to our favorite hibachi place. Has anyone ever successfully ran after hibachi? So I decided to do it this morning before work. It wasnāt hot but it felt like I was running through a lake. I thought it had to be 100% humidityā¦ looked it up and it was 93%!! I had to do walk intervals. Iāve decided that Iām definitely a night exerciser

Confession timeā¦
I havenāt been feeling the best lately. I stopped the GLP1 I was on 3 months ago and was doing okay the first 2 months but the last month Iāve really been having trouble controlling what I eat and have been feeling overall bloated and blah. Iāve also been seeing a lot of bruises pop up, so much so that my sister who is a NP when she saw me this weekend was concerned and encouraged me to get bloodwork to check my iron and other levels. Iāve got that setup for Wednesday so hopefully they find something. I think the big thing is getting back to eating more whole foods at home and drinking more water and not snacking as much.
Anyway I think the point of tumblr is to share the good and the bad so hereās the bad. The good is that my weight lifting and running have been going very well- turns out not eating in a calorie deficit and fueling your body more makes it be able to do more. Anywayā¦
Guess who came back with low ferritin levels and needs to take an iron supplement and eat more iron rich foods! Iām happy something thatās easy enough to fix came back.
Didnāt feel super strong this workout- my left quad felt a little sore during the bulgarian split squats so I didnāt do my last set and someone was using the kettlebells I typically use for the farmers walk so those didnāt go great. But you know like a wise person once said?!
