When Ether entered the game, it opened up a new realm of possibilities for its decentralized applications.

With DeFi exchanges, buyers and sellers will be linked directly without the need of any intermediaries. Decentralized finance removes the middle party so users won’t need to pay for any fees or transaction costs like they did in a centralized finance system.
