I just went through a breakup and I wanted to share a few things with you guys about how I currently feel. Here it goes - Breakups hurt, Breakups hurt a lot. You stay in a state of shock for days and weeks, still imagining ways to go back in time and remedy the situation or just avoid it from happening altogether. Well, you can't, no one can. In the end, it's important to come to terms with the fact that it's over. It's not going to be easy, it never is. All the memories, all the moments, all the smiles and all the tears just keep piling up. You'll feel distorted in between, you'll phase out a lot without even knowing why. But know this, coming from someone who's still feeling the pain, this too is a part of life. And like everything else, this too shall pass. Do NOT hate the other person, forgive them and try forgetting them, irrelevant of why you broke up, they were still a huge part of your life and they shared infinite memories with you, hating them will only hurt you, truly forgive them and ask for forgiveness. No one is perfect, we all have our flaws and our weaknesses, we all make mistakes. In the end, focus on your life, your friends, your family. If you think of them, don't focus on the bitter moments, focus on the positives because this much negativity will only make you feel darker. And before you know it, you'll be out of that dark phase of life where it seems like your entire life is over, it's not, you two will move on at your own pace and on your own time. This too shall pass. You've faced bigger problems before, you're stronger than this, both of you are. Life is beautiful, everything around us is beautiful, cherish the moments you have in your life, cherish the luxuries, cherish the small things, cherish the people who are still there with you. The world won't stop for you, no one will. You'll be back to normal in due time, because time heals all wounds. Stay strong, everyone.
