(This is a sort of poem that explains the life of a Taco Bell employee and there time working)

The piece that I chose is a really interesting and inspiring piece of creative writing. The piece is titled “My First Year As A Widow” which is a widow explaining how her life changes and how you can ask for help and be helped by others. I also really like the flow of the text and how the author separates the different sections. Overall, a great piece. 

One of the coolest styles of creative writing that I learned about is the style of cross-genre writing. Cross-genre is very self explanatory because it combines two or more genres to create a story. I think that this type of writing is crucial because if one cannot decide on a single genre, they can include multiple genres to make their piece of work more efficient and better working. I think that I personally might try to do this myself sometime in the near future!

Jenny was riding her bike one day. She always loves to ride her bike in the street next to her neighborhood. Her neighborhood is usually very calm and quiet. with the only noise coming from a small grocery store at the end of the street. Jenny would visit every day and buy a piece of candy. The lady at the counter was always so nice. Jenny would always use her manners, and be on her way. One day, Jenny went in and saw a man with dark clothes on. He was just standing there and looked at her quickly as she began to walk in. The old lady smiled, ignoring the tall figure next to her. “It’s on me today, Jenny.” Jenny was excited to hear about getting the free candy and ran out of the shop. She went straight home, ate dinner, and went to bed. The next morning she went back to the shop. As she approached it, there was nothing but police cars surrounding the building. Jenny ran to see what was going on. The woman who owned the candy shop was shot dead at the counter. That was the last time Jenny ever went to the store.

This is such a cool piece of fan fiction! I love it because of the setting that it plays inside of my mind. I also love the fact that the title has such a depth to it! I have never read such a story with deep meaning to it that I think adds pleasure to it. Amazing piece overall, hope you all enjoy it!

I went into work bright and early. The sun began to rise, and I could feel the slight breeze. I work at Mcdonald’s, so the anxiousness does not faze me. I got into the building and went to clock in. Day goes normal as usual for a few hours. Then I get sent on break. I went outside for my break, and then I saw something and was stunned. There was a large man attacking this woman with a stick. I felt very nervous, but my adrenaline was rushing so I went and tackled the man into the ground. He began to hit me with the stick, and blood was rushing down my body until help arrived. A customer got out of his vehicle and tore the guy off me. Another customer came and apprehended the attacker and a third customer called the police. This day made me into a hero, but I did not care for the award that I received or for the constant praise that I got. All that mattered to me was that the woman was safe. 

I don’t want you to know many things. You don’t know how this is: if I do not look at the dull moon, at the blue branch of the fast autumn at my door, if I do not touch away from the cold the impalpable crystal or the smooth body of the log, everything carries you to me, as if nothing that exists, aromas, darkness, metals, were large boats that move away from those isles of yours that wait for me. Well, in the future, if little by little you begin loving me I shall keep loving you little by little. If suddenly you remember me look for me, for I shall already have remembered you. If you think it short and happy, the calmness of banners that stops through my life, and you decide to bring me at the shore of the heart where I don’t have roots, remember that on that day, at that hour, I won’t lift my arms and my roots will set here to seek no other land. But if each day, each hour, you feel that you are not destined for me with implacable sweetness, if each day a flower climbs up to your lips to seek me, ah my love, ah my own, in me all that fire is not repeated, in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten, my love does not feed on your love, beloved, and as long as you live it will be in your arms with leaving mine.

So for my creative writing assignment my plan is to do a collage of my pictures that you may have already seen from our picture assignment, and create a story through them with history of the U.S. and the founding of the country. I want to make each picture have a subtitle, and then create a story at the end. What do you all think of this idea?

The last incident I have with hair is when I had to give my dog a bath. I decided that it would be a wonderful idea to use a brand new towel to dry him off, and his hair went absolutely all over it. My mom was mad, but I was amused.
